Lee might last 8RDs, but it will be brutal.
Jr. Is going to give Lee a beating.

what happens when jr tries to get inside and starts to eat those straight lefts? i'd say six or seven of those and then its on to plan b, which jr doesnt have. hes a simple guy to figure out. easy for someone like emmanuel steward.

remember, this is the same guy that went tooth and nail last year with zbik who was just recently stopped by sturm.

    Tend to agree.

Out boxing won't get Lee the decision, he will have to thoroughly, thoroughly dominate him or knock him out. Neither of which I see happening.

There is a reason he is in with Lee. He is pretty sloppy in the later rounds, Chavez isn't the world's greatest athlete either but I'd hate to be Lee at the end of the 11th round (he's never been the Championship distance) after having had a re-hydrated 180lb Chavez lean on him all night.

The second time around with Vera he was completely out of gas at the end of a 10-rounder and looked horrid against McEwen. Doubt whether he has the engine for Chavez, let alone any of the other MW's hanging about, certainly not Martinez, Geale, Sturm or Pirog.

It's a win win for me, as I find Mexican boxers the kings of this sport and love watching them, and I find Irish boxers to be tough as ****, some of the toughest in this sport.

    May the best man win.

Size advantage, youth and reach. I give the edge to junior as well. A 39 year old Martinez keeping a young 180lber off of him for 12 rounds will be very hard for him.

It's an interesting fight (hey! a rarity in boxing sometimes at this level!). If Lee's jab is sharp, quick and dangerous he'll have a much easier time with Chavez who I bet would get frustrated pretty quick. But Lee's kinda slow, kinda easy to hit, fighting in Texas...Maybe Chavez by UD 8-4 or 9-3. But you know, more competitive then the scorecards would indicate.

I'm hoping for a Lee win though, I feel like he won't hold the belt hostage.
