Be honest. Do some people want to see Bute lose to Froch for Wards credit?

well if Bute will put a performance like he did against Johnson or even better ( T/K.O Froch ) , the media & the fans of boxing ( especially Ward and Bute fans ) will intensively demand this fight to happen . So the pressure would be huge on Ward!:yep

P.S Don't forget that Bute ( the IBF smw champ ) will fight in his mandatory backyard and not viceversa ! The close rounds will be in favor of the hometown fighter.

Ward have one thing in common with Calzaghe: he can overcome adversity. Thats does not equal beeing exposed. I am saying you are reallly stretching it here.

If Ward thought so too we'd have had a fight in Oakland now. To his credit, Ward knows more about match ups and boxing in general than his fans do. If he accepts fighting Bute, its gonna be under some hilarious terms.

So far, I think most Ward fans truly believe that Ward beats Bute hands down. But like Floyd fans, they can't seem to criticize their man for ducking the best or next best fighter in his class.:think

As a Bute fan, it's the ONLY SMW fight to me that matter. Win lose or draw, I wanna see who the better fighter is. I think it's Bute, but I wanna be proved wrong by a fight.

Bute's willingness to risk robbery in Oakland or the UK is noble. Especially since it was not his fault he was blackballed from the tournament. IMO, had Bute been included in the s6 he'd have won it all and the Ward fans would be silent on the issue. Instead they would likely be Dirrel fans claiming Dirrel was injured and unable to continue in the tournament, but had he been, he'd have beaten Bute.:patsch

When Ward turned down the fight with his mandatory Anthony Dirrell (due to handinjury) he tweeted that everyone knows who the real champ is, even if the belt changes hands. Is Ward getting used to the idea that he is so good he wont have to fight to prove it :huh

While I dont disagree with that, I think it highlights just how weak the SMW division is at this time when you remove Bute and Ward. Froch is an old 34 year old who has never beaten a SMW champ

I thought Froch won around 4 rounds and will have to watch again. 2 of the official judges had it close and Froch ahead at half way.
I stand by what I say about Froch exposing Ward. Froch is very slow and with a low workrate. We knew that about him, what we did find is that even though Froch is slow, his low pressure exposed stamina gaps in Ward and he was making Ward struggle late on, even though he was an old 34 year old

    How do you get that.
Have we seen Ward fight an undefeated fighter in a big fight yet?

Have we seen Ward fight a top prime opponent yet? Dont say Kessler as he was unwell suffering double vision and even now full of injury probs and Froch was an old 34 year old who is not a top SMW, consider he was taken to a MD by an old SMW who used to be a SMW journeyman and who had lost more at SMW than won

Have we seen Ward fight abroad in a big fight?

No we havent seen any of those things yet

The overall problem is just.. Bute wasn't..
    Kessler
    Froch
    Ward
    Dirrell

All 4 are better than anything Bute has fought, so to say that Bute takes on all of them without losing once is a bit of a bold prediction if you ask me.
I am going to say again.. What i have said a thousand times when it comes to Bute-Ward threads: It can't be denied that Ward has beaten the two most accomplished SMWs out there, it can't be denied that Bute has settled with competetion that are at best a step below Kessler and Froch.
But no worries, Bute will fight Froch in a while, let's see what happens after the fight in England is done.

How is Dirrell better than everyone Bute has beaten? Dirrell hasnt beaten anyone of note and Froch hasnt beaten anyone as good at SMW as Steiglitz yet Andrade who beat Steiglitz lost to Bute
