Its not the same, Asians aren't historically known for being scared so there is no corilation to the scared meaning of the word yellow and Asians. The only corilation is the color of there skin just like black and white.

****** on the other hand touches on the slavery days of an African American who were treated as animals and less then human, were not allowed to be educated and held primitive life styles.

Now if there was in incident during Asians history that corilates Asians being cowardly then I could see the meaning of the word holding some type of historic impact to belittle Asians. Since I don't believe there is it doesn't seem like nothing more then a comment on skin color.
