Be honest. Do some people want to see Bute lose to Froch for Wards credit?

    No most sane fans want to see Bute in against an elite fighter first and foremost ..But what can you expect from the queen of agenda's in Failey ..

    It was absolutely **** he didn't get invited to the tourney. I mean I understand what they were trying to do, but it was crap to leave Bute out.

    Yeah I thought froch landed the cleaner punches in 7 of the 12 rounds.

    My scorecard is on a thread I did at the time.

    I do admit that I want Bute to win big like he won against glen who lost a close decision to Froch so that my man Bernard gets him and you know what then, another former undefeated would be great... At least I try to be honest.

    I did say that I personally think Bute should have been stopped, but he wasnt and won. Thats on record

    While Im not knocking those fighters you have to look at where each was at the time

    Pascal didnt do a thing at SMW
    Berrio had just won a SMW title and beaten undefeated Steiglitz

    Taylor was 1-2 in his last 3 fights and suffered a KO loss
    Bika had gone the distance with Calzaghe

    Dirrells biggest win was Oganov
    Andrade had beaten Steiglitz

    Abraham was coming off a clear loss and not a big SMW
    Andrade was coming off a win and a good finish against Bute

    Magee was beaten clearer as was Johnson though Froch did beat them first, but there was close cards in the Froch fight

    I think most fans would like to see Bute/Ward, but that didnt happen and Bute had had more title fights and been a world champ for longer, though I do think Wards win over unwell Kessler carried weight

    Why not. At SMW Bute is far more proven than Dawson who lost to Pascal who lost to Froch. I know it doesnt always work that way, but the point is Dawson has been exposed on how to beat him

    I dont mind Lufc, but he does change his mind about scoring fight quite a bit and writes one thing one day and changes it the next. I dont know how he saw Froch a winner, but it could be different when he posts next time. No disrespect Luf

    I wanna see bute lose to froch because froch is one of my favorite fighters and he needs a good comeback win. I'd be bummed if froch lost as a fan of his, but as a fan of boxing i'd be estatic because it paves the way for a ward-bute clash.

    Personally, It's irrelevant if Lucain Bute either wins or loses, I just want to him face GOOD fighters. We can sit here for years measuring performances against contemporaries, but until Bute beats one of the top 168lbs fighters the jury is still out.

    Defending an alphabet title with journeymen and guys with 15 losses isn't enough in my opinion. Bute fighting Ward without fighting one of the other 168lbs fighters like Froch or Kessler is unfair. He should have to prove himself with either Froch or Kessler before he gets a shot a Ward.
