Only pacquio fans would hate on 1.5 mil buys at $60 - $70 a pop.

No one in this forum expected 2 mil. A lot of people said between 1.5 and 1.7

Please note that what you just stated has been explained to KnuckleUp mulitple times.

In spite of the fact that he has been challenged on numerous occasions to show in any Time Warner 10k or 10Q an itemized line for each (or any) of HBO Sports' PPV events, he has yet to do so.

For future reference, you will also note that while KnuckleUp likes to talk out of his ass about American business, commerce, and/or legal systems, he is woefully ignorant to how they really work/function.

I am Amazed that there isn't one person here who know live gate figures are BS! Ringside and usual up to the first tier are mainly give aways. Celebrities and the "right people" are in these areas. They are usual outrageously priced for a reason.

Official....not official.....point is, this is a proven guy in boxing who produces over a million buys consistently....the only other person in that league is PAC. It's debatable who the bigger draw is....in terms of PPV buys, BOTH handle their business....to have a dick measuring contest about who generates a few more buys is a lonely raindrop in the middle of the ocean. 50/50 is more than fair but this isn't about being fair to Floyd...it's about doing or NOT doing what he doesn't want.

Folks, that is a crazy amount of sales, and if these numbers pan out to be true (Iole has a serious knack / source for getting PPV numbers correct before they become public), this certifies it as one hot event. Although you must keep in mind these numbers are not official... the 1.5 million number Iole is indicating are impressive to say the least.

Here is an excerpt for Iole's latest: "Floyd Mayweather against Miguel Cotto. Sales figures are not available yet but are expected to be around 1.5 million buys."

All the most reliable media outlets who cover boxing were more than willing to go against the so called "industry insiders" you are speaking of. They were very comfortable putting their name out there to drop the 1.4 million buys on their websites and published material. I think trust any promoters "figures" but Bob is NOT the only person who is used as a source when putting out "factual" figures that they are backing.

And the numbers are NOT official from HBO.
