Andres Gutierrez- Just because of how young he is, and just how active he is. He's an exciting fighter. He's the Canelo of the lower weights. Gilberto Ramirez Sanchez- Speaking of comparing prospects to Canelo. GRS, is like a Canelo. He has heavy hands, very patient, and he's about as big as Canelo. He'll be an interesting fighter to watch for in the near future. Randy Caballero- Another fun fighter to watch. He has a great chance to win a world title. He's got talent, but, to win a world title in boxing it's more a less who you know. And not how good you are. And he has good connections. Carlos Buitrago- A really exciting, young fighter in the lower weight. He has sparred with a lot of tough, tough, competition and has gotten better and better. Very fast, good power, exciting. He's knocking on the door of that next step. Nawaphon Por Chokchai- He is on a fast track like Kaz Ioka. Not nearly as talented, as he struggled earlier this year, but he is fun and should be in some big fights very, very quickly. His handlers don't mess around. He and this next prospect will probably tangle in the near future. Denchailek Krathingdaenggym- He seems to be more well rounded of the two. A fight betweem Denchailek and Chokchai would be a great domestic battle. This though is something, I'd like to see later, rather than sooner. Both have lots of learning to do, a high ceiling, but I don't think they'll get the chance. The Thai handlers just throw their dogs in the doghouse and let them take their lumps, get a couple of losses, and go from there. Billy Joe Saunders- This Brit is good. He has the talent to be a future world titlist 5 years from now. Lots of speed, lot of power, but, like most prospects, he hasn't been tested. He has looked fabulous against lesser competition. We'll see if he really is legit when he continues to climb that ladder. Diego Magdaleno- Diego Magdaleno has all the signs of a prospect that will lose once he pops into that top 5. He is a really well rounded fighter. He's got good skills, fast, but doesn't hit hard, and has very shaky whiskers. He has the makings of another Jorge Linares. Very talented fighter, but his chin may keep him in the way of taking that next step. Still, I think it's worth nothing that Magdaleno may win a world title. He has the skills and the backing power to do that. Leo Santa Cruz*- You can check him out on the undercard of Victor Ortiz-Andre Berto. And I put the * on him because you can make an argument he's not a prospect anymore. You can say he may have already graduated from prospect to contender.....and going by this thread, I don't think many know the difference. But nevertheless, a shout out to Santa Cruz. He's solid, solid, good boxer. We'll see what happens in his first title shot. Abraham Han- I always give a shout out to Abe. He's not really a prospect. He's already 27, so, he doesn't really qualify, but whatever. So, there you go. There's a list of 10.

I agree that my list included a few dubious choices but I was trying to following the OP's instructions and make an actual list, while having some other weight classes and regions represented. With that said, if I were forced to choose the real prospects on my list it would go like this in descending order: 1) Javier Fortuna 2) Gilberto Ramirez 3) Luis Del Valle 4) Frankie Gomez(yes, he's legit but he's got some serious legal issues to deal with right now that may ruin his career) 5) Thomas Oosthuizen
I mentioned him because I was trying to included fighters from other weight classes. The elite prospects on my list are Fortuna, Ramirez, Oosthuizen, Del Valle and Gomez. Wilder's not a worldbeater but he's certainly not a circus act. He was a medalist at the '08 olympics...
You like Buitrago? Im not so sure, plenty of flaws that should have been recognised by now. Chasing opponents around in circles because they know he wont throw the right hand. Granted that was also a flaw of a young chocalatito and they managed to iron it out but no sign of it with Buitrago. He doesnt have that much pop in his shots either imo. A good prospect but not near a top prospect imo good post though
