I do love Kessler as a fighter, but this card is a joke and its inexcusable to put it on PPV for his loyal following in Denmark.

If anything, Kessler OWES the danish fans this card, they shouldn't have to pay for it.

 

so if both guys fought last year at 168 kessler may not hurt green
but move up 7 pounds in weight at the same time and now kessler has a more bionic type punch? haha

 

Well said. . . I really want to see how Kessler does at 175.

Yeah, 175 is probably the deepest division in boxing right now. I really think Kessler beast everybody at the weight right now except Dawson. . . Pascal would be a 50/50 type matchup because of his speed, and mobility - but he's predicable, and very hittable, unlike a guy like Ward.

He beast Shumenov, and Cleverly easily IMO - those are two belts right there.

I think the best, most fan-friendly matchup is with Cloud. Hopefully Cloud will beat Pascal so we can get that fight. Cloud already kind of ducked Kessler, though. He said he was "obligated" to fight his mandatory - then a few weeks later he signs to fight Pascal!

Yeah, Kessler should win if he still got anything left. Pascal - Cloud winner would be nice. As would Dawson. Then maybe Bute/Froch, then a Ward rematch to end on.

 

Why are Kessler fans screaming for a Ward fight?

You are suffering from delusions of grandeur, there is just no way that'd be a smart move for Kessler, he was losing all across the board, he was not better than Ward in any aspect.

Where Kessler has been inactive and suffering injuries, Ward has achieved valuable championship experience, the rematch would be even more of a domination than the first one was.

Kessler's best option would be to go for a Froch rematch, a fight I also think he'd lose at this point, but he'd still be in with a chance, unlike against Ward.

 

I think this fight is a mix of two things 1) a fight for Kessler to get used to 175, and feel how they hard they hit. And of course a comeback fight. before he meet a "real opponent" at 175.

 

Both have said they wanted a rematch. Ward to silence the headbutt critics, Kessler? Well, i suppose because he is a proud warrior.

Yeah, Ward was winning pretty handily even without the headbutts, and a rematch would likely be even more difficult for Ward, but it is boxing after all. It doesnt always play to script.

Should he lose to Ward again, then be it. But at least he tried to avenge the defeat. Which he didnt get opportunity for against Calzaghe.

No shame in that if Kessler ends up with three defeats to the likes of JC and Ward.

 

Pascal will probably beat hims anyway. . . I think Kessler could beat Pascal, though. . . He's a sucker for straight punches, especially the straight right. . . But I could also see Pascal boxing, moving, and showing Kessler too many angles.

Kessler wasn't exactly "not hitting" Ward either. He was landing some head-snapping right hands, and stiff jabs. . But Ward was still winning.

Around the Ward fight is when Kessler started "looping" his overhand right. . .

I say if they both win a few fights the rematch would be kind of interesting. Especially if it's at 175. . Hopefully Ward moves up to 175. They both beat a name or two there. Ward beats Dawson, and Kessler beats a Pascal, or Cloud. . .
