Boxing is such a minority sport that there isnt really much to be gained on reporting on the violence as compared say to any saturday night out. With football fans it attracts attention and seels paper, perhaps attracting the partisan nature of football fans and the anti football fan prejudice some still hold.

I dont frequent boxing shows to be able to comment on the level of violence that there is or isnt so you might want to take my comments witha pinch of salt, but I think it offers an explanation. Who would give a flying about a ruckus at a leisure centre in Barnsley?
