The fight will raise $5 just as De La Hoya Mayweather was raised $5. I have Timewarner Cable and the Ortiz and Cotto Mayweather fights were $65 for the HD and $55 for the non HD.

So based on the biggest fight in history, De La Hoya Mayweather, we can assume that Pacquiao Mayweather will be upped $5 putting the HD (for Timewarner Cable) at $70 and the non HD at $60.

Also, what has been confirmed, that is not debatable, is that Mayweather Ortiz did more revenue than Mayweather Mosley.

Mayweather Ortiz is now the 3rd highest revenue made fight.

I know. People are jokers. You can't just say its not Floyd and its the undercard or the opponent when he is putting up high numbers a lot.

Its just their way of trying to knock down his numbers because they don't like him and can't believe he is generating this amount of $$$$ and publicity.

People buy because of Floyd First and of course who he is fighting. But if Floyd is picking the right opponents, then more power to him. And if Floyd is giving us our money's worth with better undercards, more power to him.

If anything, it just shows us that Mayweather/Golden Boy Promotions should be running the show.

Tyson had Chavez and Trinidad on his undercards, but I don't see anyone discrediting Tyson's drawing power. :verysad

Tyson at times needed a good undercard because he was Knocking guys out so fast viewers didn't feel they got their money's worth. So they added some good undercard fights. Not that tyson couldnt draw the fans. But to supplement his fast victories

At that time he was the draw in the division and his opponents knew they couldn't attract the same number of buys.

In this case we have the sports best two fighters in the same division who can be matched up so there will be a debate as to whom if either deserves the lions share.

When Tyson fought Lewis what was the split? I read it was 50-50

Yeah but Tyson was fighting for a pay cheque at that point, and Lewis wasn't even a legit PPV draw. Neither fighter REALLY had a case for a bigger share.

That's a bad comparison IMO since Tyson hadn't been legitimately useful as a fighter or a PPV draw in a while.

What do you expect from new school boxing fans?? TO be honest, they probably didnt know about about those boxers being on a Tyson card because they dont follow the sport as a whole but rather one or two fighters.

so of course they're gonna so some off the wall bull****...They dont know any better.:-(

Exactly, and if the promoter's are willing to sit down and crunch the numbers to see who deserves what piece, all should be fairly negotiated and put to rest the "Debate"

No one ever complained getting their money's worth when Mike Tyson knocked out opponents quickly. NO ONE.

That was, in fact, the attraction of a Tyson PPV.

He wasn't the fighter he use to be but that fight at the time made big sells.

They should but the team which falls short which will be team pac will say 50-50 or no fight. Floyd at worst will come out equal, Arum knows this so wont go down that route. In the end if Floyd wants the fight he will have to take 50-50.

Article I just found when I googled tyson - Lewis

"Lennox Lewis will split the purse 50-50 with Mike Tyson if their £70 million showdown goes ahead this summer.
But Tyson will have to compensate his pay-per-view network Showtime out of his own pocket.
Lewis, the undisputed world champion, has again emphasised his desire to fight Tyson and, following Iron Mike's offer to stage the contest as early as June this year, has made the challenger an offer.
Lewis will get to choose both the venue and the date for the fight and said: "Mike wants us to share purse on a 50-50 basis. I am prepared to do that provided the live pay-per-view for the fight is on my network HBO/TVKO and that Mike compensates his network Showtime out of his 50 per cent of the purse."

In this scenario Lewis is getting to make some conditions as Mike went for 50-50. In the Floyd-Pac fight floyds dictating everything. If he wants the majority share maybe Pacquiao should be allowed to have something his way.

I read networks were giving deals that the quicker Tyson knocks guys out the less they would charge. Maybe reasons like that required a better undercard. No one complained about the wins.
