Why not? He could box, he could knock people out. He and Arguello would give any fighter in history a go between 130 and 135.

first of all hoya had 2 fights at 130 and looked drained and fought like ****, at 135 he looked better but not as good as he did at the higher weights, at the lower weights he got dropped, looked lethargic many times and struggled to make weight.

even if we decide to overlook that (which you did coz you never watched hoya at the lower weights) he is far from a coomplete boxer.

he has NO right hand. NONE.

    he had average inside game.

    he shoe shined a lot.

He found it hard cutting off the ring.

I dont ever remember him having head movement.

Hoya had great athletic abilities and devastating KO power on his left hand and a great jab.

    his best weight was 147.

I wouldn't put Ali on a short list of the most rounded fighters.

His best was at 135, where he won fighter of the year and dominated. He put Ruelas down with a right hand and broke Hernandez' nose with a right uppercut.

    Agree to disagree.

Combination punching is just fine . he raerly gets hit so his head movement is also fine . he is also a great counter puncher hence the safty first approach . check the peter KO for a good uppercut . Oh and you my friend obviously don"t know **** about boxing . he is probably the most well round heavy champ there has ever been . :deal

But he was out of his best weights past 140. Best competition does not equal best fighting weight.
