My mate wants to buy some new gloves because his wrists aren't great. I would recommend Rival gloves because of their design and the science that goes into them. Have any of you got any experience with Rival gloves or the ones in the link? http://www.sugarrays.co.uk/shop/rival-d3o-inteli-shock-bag-glove.html [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9pH2XIw-PV4[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=taAX0NwmEhM[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXlm6eC2MVg[/ame]
i highly recomend them hand protection is second to none but if his wrsit are hurting i dont thing many gloves will help i had the same problem had opps on both my wrists as a kid and although they dense the impact it when your throwing your hooks and body shots when your hands and wrists ar arched its hard to protect against that
I have a cheaper version on the rival bag gloves and I like them. why doesnt he go with lace up type if his wrists are in bad shape?
I started with the Rival RB1 Ultra Bag Gloves which were pretty decent but had some issues with one of my hands - I now use the Rival RB10s and my problems have disappeared. I can smash the **** out of the bags and pads and not feel any pain.
I just got these and my knuckles hurt in them, is this something i need to get used to or something wrong with the gloves?
No. But, Achilles, what the hell are you doing here? I thought you were long gone... anyway welcome back. Havent seen you in.........Ages.
I was considering stopping boxing and looking into a different sport because my hands were just not handling it at all, these most definitely helped alleviate that. I work full time and don't really buy a lot else anyway and nowadays don't really go out drinking, so I can spare a bit of money for some gear. Gonna get the RS2V sparring gloves and d3o headgear next, hopefully I've been training long enough now to not look like I have 'all the gear but no idea'!
