Floyd's 40 million offer doesn't seem so bad now.

Totally different situation. Floyd hadn't even cracked 400k buys prior to fighting DLH(unlike Pacquiao, who managed the feat with the second Marquez fight) and DLH was the only huge box office guy around, no other fighter was even comparable. Floyd is only a marginally better single fight draw than Pacquiao if you take a look at the numbers of both fighters post-DLH and Pacquiao fights more often than Floyd at twice a year to Floyd's one.

I think Pacquiao deserves 50/50, though I believe if say, 55/45 in Floyd's favor plus PPV upside is offered, that Pacquiao should take it.

I like Manny's fights just not his recent two that i think was boring but Floyd has been a pretty exciting fighter of late. Cussing out commentators, legal cheap shot who ortiz clearly deserves and fought toe to toe with bigger dude. not bad stuff.

This numbers by themselves don't tell the whole story. Mayweather's fight with Cotto generated $94M in revenue from PPV. Compare that to a little over $70M for the Pacquiao/Marquez fight. We're talking over a $20M difference. That's a big gap to be asking for 50/50

Nice Red Herring but I'm not hungry @ the moment.

    I ask again, for those who think Pacquiao should get 50/50;

Do you also believe Mayweather should have got a 50/50 deal for the de la Hoya fight?

Now you're just being intellectually dishonest. Floyd owns the 4 largest revenue generating non-HW fights in the history of the sport.

Point blank, Pacquiao does NOT genertate the same amount of revenue as Floyd does - and there's nothing "marginal" about it.

    Stop playing stupid...

It's still more accurate than using outdated ppv averages. Half of Pac's ppvs were at feather where 400,000 buys is considered big. And if you think in terms of fixed markets/concepts of scarcity, captive audience...buy rate is stilla better measure of drawing power. As in, if events like these come so infrequently....to a consumer the difference in between price can be overrided. Me personally, I buy all the the big ppvs....and even to casual throwing a fight party...a 10 dollar spike in a ppv is pretty negligible.

your not getting it again.:patsch If the fight can be made 50/50 then go ahead and make the fight. Nobody is saying anything about that. What were saying is, you have to look at what each fighter makes, revenue, and PPV buys and that is the reality of it.

We aren't arguing about wether or not we want to see the fight...we are arguing why Floyd's stance is and offer is a good one.

    He received a $32,000,000 guarantee.

With the Ortiz fight he generated $16,000,000 in PPV revenue to himself....He had a $25,000,000 guarantee...ended up with $41,000,000. That was at $78,400,000 in revenue.

We can logically assume that he made $2,000,000 more than he did for Ortiz, with $94,000,000 in revenue. So he received $32,000,000 plus $18,000,000 in profit off the PPV for a total of $50,000,000.

Go back to my long ass post..it explains everything.

De La Hoya Mayweather was raised $5 so we can logically assume that Pacquiao Mayweather will be raised $5.

    Pacquiao also has MP promotions.

Look at how you disscredit everything bro...the guy made $50,000,000. Manny is also a co promoter with TR. He has never brought home more than $25,000,000.
