[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IuYuimfhn6Q&feature=related[/ame], I personally Tyson was doing real well in the round he bit Evander and was actually starting throw some crisp combinations and counterpunching very well(something he did very well in his prime after slipping uppercuts and hook shots) Tyson was a in great shape and it showed because he was getting under Holyfield's shots very well much better than the first fight. What do you guys think would of happened had the fight didn't get stopped and lets say Tyson didn't bite him in that 3rd round?

Holyfield wud have taken it, he just had the gameplan (which included the use of his head which he wasn't being warned about) to keep Tyson at bay.

I hear you on that but you don't think Tyson's better conditioning, better head movement and power would of givin him a better chance at getting openings and tagging Holyfield more than the first fight?

We can never know but I have every second of that rematch in my mind. For instance, let's go to round three and Tyson comes out enraged and presses Holyfield to the ropes but Evander pushes him back and keeps with that plan of punching toe to toe but always skipping Tyson's punches first. There was a moment, Tyson landed a big left and Holyfield came right back, then Tyson who had already left his mouthpiece and had to bring it back at the start of that round, he tried b4 to twist Holy's left arm and vander just punched him back with his free right hand as Mills lane called them to keep it clean. I knew Tyson would tire and he was not having advantage in clinches as they couldn't push one or the other back so he snapped and that was clearly a mad, nervous, out of control and non-premiditated action. Tyson, in my personal opinion would lose his breath and would not be able to pace himself throughout the 12 rounder and Holy would finish him like he did in the first fight. At least, he would win a decision.

Well never know if Tyson wouldn't of gassed, he definetly was in much better shape than that first fight and he was able to connect on Evander more plus his headmovement was better. Evander had a harder timie timing him.(not the same speed and headmovement in his prime but the best since he came out of jail)

He was better prepared for the second fight. He looked in shape for the first but by many accounts, wasn't. Looks are deceiving. And Holyfield also thought the same noting that Tyson had a spring to his step this time around that he didn't see in the first.

Adding in Richie Giachetti was a plus.

When you look at the first fight and even the second, you notice that these are fights between two past prime fighters after viewing their earlier fights. First fight especially.

He had a better chance in the second fight than the first but still...Holyfield still knew what bothered Tyson and how to frustrate him and Tyson didn't have a solution for Holyfield's head-games :D

If it continued and turn into an all out brawl I think Tyson would of won by round 8. I wish this fight would have continued

Holyfield was a monster against Mike, using all the dirty tactics too... He had no other choices... if you let the beast eat you you're basically dead.. Holyfield was a true dirty warrior... But Tyson is still the man :D

I agree, Tyson was taking it in round three and Evander's punches were not really hurting him but the left hook that opened that cut when they had a break, that really put Tyson off mentally and we know that concentration is more important than anger since getting reckless is deadly here ( remember round 10 of the first fight when the bell sounded). Well, but I guess we may not be able to continue cause we r clearly being attacked here and nobody, i mean, nobody does anything and at this time of the day...

Tyson looked great in rd 3 because he knew what he was about to do next...so no need to pace himself; he was putting everything in his punches and if he wasn't going to KO him, he would get out of the fight anyway...

It's like these olympic guys giving everything they have inside 3 or 4 rds.

    Mike the coward.

holyfield had the eye of the tiger that night. he was cool, calm and collected. it was gearing up to be the most impressive performance of his career, but the coward tyson had other plans. he knew he couldn't have beaten evander that night so bailed out.

i disagree massively with the guy up top who says that tyson looked better than the first. in the first fight tyson thought he'd walk right through evander but was completely shocked. he was still able to get shots off and make a fight of it.

in the the second fight his timing was all to ****. he landed a couple here and there but that's it. he did have a spring in his step but nothing else. holyfield would of put up a punch perfect display and stopped tyson two or three rounds earlier this time around. tyson would of taken a beating in the process.
