I'm amazed at the love this guy gets currently (from a lot of people), and the hate he gets when he loses, and makes excuses.
The guy gets knocked out by Prescott, and since Prescott isn't that good anymore... Khan doesn't have to avenge it. He gets the excuse from people that he was just caught cold, and since Prescott has looked like crap since.. Out of Khan's league. Basically Khan didn't even lose :yep
He loses a decision to Peterson (PEDs or not), and maybe the fight can't happen right now, but this loss will be brushed under the rug as well. No rematch. Peterson didn't win because of the fact Khan has no inside game whatsoever and to afraid to sit down on punches, but because Peterson took PEDs and was literally superman!

So, who is the next *average* fighter who beats Khan... Only to be belittled in the future, and not really beat him? Of course Mayweather is gonna beat him (for the love of god I don't want to see this fight!), but I'm talking average fighter.

An average guy can't beat this guy if not with a lucky punch but Khan is very focused now. I believe he can lose to some guys, even get outboxed, he would surely lose at 147 against Alexander and I don't give him more than 35 to 40% chances at best to beat Tim at 140 if Tim gets back to that division.

Any aggressive fighter with chin and power could beat Khan, skills not required. Maidana, who's terrible, was able to give Khan fits for as long as he lasted and nearly scored a KO.

    Love?, what love?

Khan has been hated from the very start and his first loss attracted a lot of attention/celebration. Of course I won't argue with the hate since Khan never fails to impress with his hilarious statements, but to say he's generally loved is absurd.

Though I do agree that his attempts to avenge his brutal loss to Prescott were nonexistent. The excuse that Prescott hasn't impressed lately changes nothing, Khan still holds a loss under one minute against the guy.

Khan hasn't put in a pfp performance since he fought Malignaggi. He squeaked by Maidana, who's B-level, should have got the win against Peterson, who I don't rate much at all, and will get his ass beat by the top guys at 140/147. He is the embodiment of British hype at the moment.

Maidana is C- at best. The man can't cut off the ring, is predictable, one-dimensional, throws ridiculous wild punches, impatient, can't even fake hisi cheating attempts and has zero skills. All he has going for him is power and chin.

Judah was beyond past it and lost from the very start. Khan was expected to look supernatural against someone like Judah. Hell Clottey looked super elite against Judah 3 years before Khan met him.

Cotto also looked super elite himself against Clottey running away towards the end and getting a lucky decision

Oh no he didn't, that was a competitive fight. I don't understand why you picked that fight.

Maidana is crude, but his power makes him risky for almost anyone. All he needs is one shot. I also think you forgot to mention his heart -- having a chin is useful, but you also need heart to climb off the canvas and keep trying until the end. If Maidana had the mindset of someone like Judah, he might not even have made it out of the first round against Khan (after he got dropped by that body shot). Same with the Ortiz fight. In both cases he got up and went back to work with a vengeance.

His 'wild' punches look sloppy, but they can also make him more difficult to predict -- it reminds me of how Mayorga would throw those amateurish looking shots, but they were still dangerous as they came from odd angles. Maidana's overhand right is the punch that almost crushed Khan, and that's probably because it's a shot that most boxers don't really throw. The overhand right isn't as common as the normal straight, hook, etc. Khan had no idea how to deal with it. (Although his defence as a whole is quite leaky, and he couldn't deal with the uppercut either.)

Maidana would remind me more of Maussa with his "rubber" style than Mayorga, which does make him unpredictable but still obvious. The only thing that makes that type of predictable aggressive approach confusing is the angle from which the wild swing is coming from.

I do agree that he definitely has heart/will otherwise he would have been finished in round one against Khan and Ortiz...etc

Judah had just stopped Mabuza and managed to squeak a decision past Matthyse, everyone on here (yourself probably included) thought he was gonna spark Khan out.

Khan gets a disproportional amount of hate on here and gets underrated because of it. I think he's gonna shock a lot of people.
