Not saying Cotto wins hands down, but it's not like he's going to walk into a second fight doing the same thing he did in the first one. Way I see it, Floyd is beatable, the major component of Floyds' victory over Cotto was him having his left shoulder up over his head and his head back under his right armpit. I'm all for a great defensive fighter, but damn! I'd rather see him slip and duck punches with reflexes and skill. Not that boring ass crap.

Yes. Throw Kirkland and Canelo on the undercard. Maybe Linares

    Would buy!

No, it's not. it's something he is used to doing. He has done it so much he does it automatically, he doesn't even have to try, it's become second nature. There's no skill in being able to hold your head back so far and your shoulder up so high. He has boxing skills, great ones, but that is not one of them.

Ortiz team is considering Cotto(e). It should be great to see Cotto(e) "get in there and destroy this kid". The battle of the "converts".

Here we go. Heaven forbid anyone on esb have something critical to say about the the "great" Floyd. Didn't say it was easy for me, I said it's become second nature to him. Therefore no longer a skill, more of a reaction. Lets face it, Floyd has made a career out of picking the right oponnents at the right time.

The irony is that he has the skills to face anyone at any time and be victorious, sadly, he's too afarid to do so. Maybe not physically afraid, but psychologically, he's afraid to put himself in a situation he can't win. And that is not what atgs do.

Just because something becomes routine to you, that doesn't mean it's not a "skill".

I would buy but won't be as excited about it. I'd rather see ANY other fight than a pointless rematch.

Agreed, but it's past that now, it's effortless. I don't need the websters reference, so you can keep that. I never said anyone could do it, never said he didn't have to learn it and perfect it. I do still say it's more impressive to slip and duck punches with head movement and reflex.

Seriously, his shoulder roll/neck bend is more synonymous with hiding than evading. Synonymous, go look that one up on websters too.

**** websters dictionary even if it is my last name. A skill is something that can be repeated over and over. Thats a better definition than unessesarily overly implicated crap.

so if you claim there's no skill in it, then why can't you do it

because it isn't second nature? well how did it become second nature? through practice? or through skill?

if you say practice, if you practice the shoulder roll you could do it without having skills?

how does avoiding punches and not getting hit "no skills"

you say you want to see head movement? is his head not moving around while he's shoulder rolling

you're making it sound as if he throws up a blanket and just stays behind it

but clearly we aren't seeing eye to eye, so no problem, if you want to say there's "no skills" in lil floyd's shoulder roll, good for u

    Ok, Screw websters, Dicitonary.com says,

    Reflex:

And that's all I'm trying to say. He has perfected it to the point where it's a reflex. No longer does it take effort. It's automatic, he can do it without thinking. More power to him, I still say it's boring and less skillful than ducking, dodging, and slipping punches. Oh crap, I said ducking in Floyd related thread. Opened up a whole other can of worms.
