Floyd's 40 million offer doesn't seem so bad now.

The way I see it is that if Manny doesn't want to accept the terms that Mayweather gave him, then he has that right, and go make 40 million with another fighter. Pac is not making that kind of money with any other fighter, so if he doesn't agree, then he simply doesn't agree. Mayweather will continue to bring the money that he has been bringing and while doing so Pac will continue to be raped by Bob arum.

According to Chris Mannix over at CNNSI.com, pac man does bigger numbers in the foreign marker department, my question is why isn't Pac making near the money that Mayweather brings in. Pac has done more ppv shows but Mayweather made practically the same amoubnt while doing 6 ppv shows less.

At the end of the day, let me say what will happen if Mayweather and Pac fight. It is boxing and anything can happen. Pac can land 1 left hand punch and knock mayweather to the end of the end of the universe. Realistically, I don't see it happening b/c mayweather has fought many styles during his career while pac has fought more or less the same type of fighter, slow and who stays in front of you. If mayweather were to walk down pac and beat him convincingly, the excuse will then be Mayweather was too big or Pac was too small, that Pac had many distractions in camp, or Pacman was already beginning to decline, or he wasn't that good to begin with. Mayweather never gets any credit for any win. The way I see it, why fight he really is in a no win situation. Before I leave think about this, The money the fight can generate will be enormous, if may really fought for money all the time the fight would have been made. If pac man wants the fight, he has to absolutely give in to mayweather's demands just how Mayweather gave in to Oscar's demands. Once pac beats mayweather, he now officially becomes the man in boxing who can dictate his terms. You see, pacman has been fortunate to already been doing this asking for catchweights etc.. with mayweather, this won't fly.
Pac is a very good fighter but mayweather is on another level.

This is a dumbass argument. What was DLH PPV numbers at that time? What was Floyd's? Now compare the difference to Pac's and Floyd's numbers now. The fact that Floyd is giving Pac just 40 million with no upside is pure bull**** and is a way to duck. You guys keep throwing around numbers, but that won't matter. Why doesn't Floyd offer Manny a contract based on percentages, say a 60/40 split in his favor, instead of a flat rate which he knows will never get the fight done. Floyd's just ducking. And after that Cotto fight in which he made a past prime Cotto look prime, he ain't gonna go anywhere near Pac. So you guys should just STFU and get over this fight. *******s and *****s alike.

this is 100% true BUT!. pacquiao seems to need the fight a little more now then mayweather, due to him not selling as much as floyd (even by a small ammount), tax problems and the fact that bob arum takes a big chunk of pacs purse

then you have floyd whos main worry is the fact he gambles like a mother****er...

after manny gets past timbo he should negotiate with floyd and hopefully get 60-40 with a small PPV cut

If he's such a big draw....he shouldn't be fighting a guy like Clottey. Just sayin'.

You guys just dont get it. Both sides have valid arguments as to what is the best deal/offer. However it is deeper than the revenue at this point. Floyd and Bob have their own animosity becuase Floyd has grown to produce record numbers since he left Top Rank and Bob in return doesn't want Floyd to make more money then HE (not Pacauiao) will in any future business together. Its economics and ego, 2 of the most powerful comninations that exist today.

Also, its psychological as well. If either one's budges, it gives the other a psyche advantage (albiet a small one) b/c the winner of the negotiations will feel like they are in control at that point. And if you dont think psychology plays a part in business/fighting, you need to read the Art of War!

The problem with Floyd's offer wasn't the guarantee pay, it was for the PPV aswell. Floyd wanted 100% PPV and everybody knows this fight is going to be huge on PPV.

What is your point exactly? Floyd Mayweather and his team are not stupid. They would not fight Joshua Clottey at the Cowboys stadium, because it would not do big business.

Are you suggesting Manny Pacquiao deserves 50/50 because the Cowboys stadium sold out when he fought Clottey? Seriously? :patsch

if floyd's offer of $40M without any PPV share is not bad, then arum's counter-offer of $50M under the same terms that floyd offered pac is a great offer by *****s' standards.

Once again your ******ed ass don't get it. You actually think Arum will pay 50 million to Floyd and 50 million to Manny up front guarantees. That is 100 million right off the bat. :patsch

LOL...this is the universal "I just can't counter the information presented" response. Whether it be medically related (didn't know there were so many doctors), finance related (see above), etc etc...if you have no frame of reference to challenge the information presented, and you have no construct to create counter numbers, how in the **** can you be so sure you are even remotely close to correct?

*******s truly amaze me with their inept ability to use logic.

    Let's compare Floyd's and Manny's numbers NOW.

Unless I'm mistaken, Floyd made 40-50 million per fight for his last 3-4 fights.

How much did Pacquiao make in his last 3-4 outings?

Floyd generates more revenue than Manny which is reflected in the FACT that Floyd makes more MONEY than Pacquiao.

Why should Floyd give up 50/50 to a guy who only makes HALF the money he does?

60% should go to the winner of the fight, it's only fare. I'm a Floyd fan, and yes he do draw more pay perview sales, but we know just because everyone wants to see this fight, Floyd will not be the only one with drawing power on that night. This fight will do better then May vs Hoya and May vs Cotto, just because it's May vs Pac, which means there drawing power together will make history. I hope Floyd reconsider his demands and just go with the winner having the larger piece of the pie. To sweeten the pot why not make it 70% for the winner and 30% for the looser. If Floyd really cares about his family finacial stability, making this fight makes all the since in the world. He'll draw in so much money off this one fight then he would in two fights and still can continue to make good money by having a rematch considering how the first fight goes.
