Tim has faster feet, better footwork, higher ring IQ, I'd say honestly punching power is even. Timbo is a better in-fighter as well, and a nice body puncher as well, but has the versitility in that he doesn't have to fight one way.

Tim Bradley is a 2 classes above a bum like Hatton.

Crying because the truth about Hatton is brought up? LOL.

Hatton was a bum who was exposed when he left his home country and had to fight legit world class opposition.

they both come forward. thats all they have in common inside the ring. timmy has more dimensions to his game, and to chim in the the argument on whos better i gotta go with timmy over hatton any day.

I disagree, Bradley is more versatile, but Hatton was more effective at his one objective which was to get inside and outwork his man at close range. Bradley's wider on the inside than Hatton was, and lacks the same craft in the clinch. Bradley's more mobile laterally, but Hatton's footspeed closing the distance was much faster IMO. You can criticize aspects of his opposition, but it hurts your argument when you call him a bum. It's rare that between two good fighters, even when one is much greater, one is better at every single aspect of the game than the other.

it's funny that a few replies revolve around timothy bradley having so many more dimensions than ricky hatton and being so much better schooled, while hatton in his prime not only achieved more, but was better, than timothy bradley.

Tim is still pretty young...we'll see what gets done when he's finished.

I'd argue that he's done more in this stage of his career than Hatton did, but I'd blame ****** for that.

If he makes it past 2 rounds, then he's done more than Hatton once again in that aspect as well.

I do find their approach very similar either way. Hatton has shown a small capability to box when he went against Urango so I think it's actually Tim's lack of appreciation for what Hatton was capable of.

I agree for the most part.. I wouldn't say Hatton is a bum, but he is definitely way over rated by his fans.

I don't know Bogo, IMO Bradley is a much more disciplined and sharper inside fighter then Hatton who was mostly just wild and relentless.. And Hatton's footspeed was OK, but his actual footwork was pretty sloppy and amateurish.. have to give Tim the edge there too.

Tell me, how a fighter can be continuously be ranked in the worlds top ten pound for pound for nearly 4 years, wins belts in 2 divisions, is even acknowledged by the ring and the American boxing writers assoc as their fighter of the year; can be over-rated or somehow not world class? Be real. Its a ****ing insult that people have this view that he was some sort of club fighter. He was spanked by 2 ATG's in Mayweather and Pacquiao. So was Cotto. So was Shane Mosley. So was Oscar De La Hoya. Bull****.

Because fighters, to these assholes, are only as good as their last fight. I'm continually amazed at how many people make predictions which are exactly the same as previous fights. People are predicting Bradley to "win" a decision but be robbed just as Marquez was. Guess what? This fight will look nothing like the Marquez fight. A lot of people were also predicting Marquez to be blown out based on Pac's last few fights. Boxing doesn't work like that!

The best fighter Hatton ever beat was a Koysta coming out of retirment and even then he couldn't really beat him, but had the British advantage of fighting at home with a ref that let him wrestle in the ring instead of making him box.

After fighting Koysta, he fought bums and arguably struggled mightily with one bum, Urango, and was outclassed by gatekeeper in Collazo. When he finally decided to step up and fight a real fighter, Floyd KO'd his ass.

After the Floyd destruction, Hatton was getting rocked and needing the ole hometown advantage to survive against ****ing Lazcano. Thankfully for good, Manny ended the hype.

Hatton's career is about who he didn't fight just as much as who he did fight, Tim doesn't have that problem. He cleaned house in 140 period, then fought his #1 challenger before moving up to 147 to now face Manny.
