This is the problem arguing with Pacquiao fans. Nobody wants to be objective on the Pacquiao side because they know that they'd lose the argument.

How does Manny deserve more money when he doesn't even generate that much by himself? If they wanted a 50/50 split, they should've agreed to it back when Mayweather offered it instead of fighting the first boss in every video game Joshua Clottey

I see what your getting at..your also forgetting that they only split $46,000,000 of the $135,800,000. Oscar had a guarantee of $23,300,000 while Floyd had a guarantee of $10,000,000. Those numbers are before the profits.

Also...HD would raise from $65 to $70 and non HD would raise from $55 to $60. Average here should be $65 on the PPV. Not a $70 mark.

Hitting up the gym but I'll be back later..and $46,000,000 is not 57% of $135,800,000.

It`s a sad time when boxing fans are more interested what $£ a fighter makes than what happens in the ring.... it`s also a sad time when one never mind two of the top 2 millionaire fighters in the sport won`t make a small $£ sacrifice to give the fans the biggest fight of our era.

**** em.... pieces of **** both of them.

The guarantees were takes into account when negotiating ppv upside percentages, I'm sure. If anything, had they known it would perform the way it did, they would have taken a smaller guarantee for a larger pctg.

Look, you had a part time guy who was not p4p top 10, and a guy who was a ppv non entity. Here you have 2 guys with similar drawing power to ODLH, but they are p4p 1a and 1b. That also means they'll be able to negotiate a better ppv cut with hbo/cable distributors, certainly better than for Floyd Cotto.

Maybe. I believe they should look at both fighters accounts and bout contracts, then decide from there. :good

This is just stupid from Mayweather's team, Bob Arum and Top Rank Inc put on a lot of money to make great shows against JMM, Margo, Clottey and Cotto with the Cowboy Stadium in Texas, the Survivor singer leading Pac's entrance with his "Eye of the Tiger", They even had Nelly b4 Margo-Cotto so they deserve that 50-50 split and manny was very clear after the JMM fight "Let's get it on!" when Max asked him about that. Now Mayweather says the same under pressure from Merchant even tho not answering to the 50-50 split. If he ends up fighting Canelo, then it's a stupid waist of money that both would earn and a fight that the public deserves now that both are around the same age and not getting younger, 33 years old or more.

I think your reading comprehension is off.:huh I was talking about the Oscar/Floyd fight. Floyd got much less ( maybe 65/35 split ) because he's only averaging 400-500 k/fight. Now, you can't compare the Oscar/Floyd's situation to Pacquiao/Floyd's situation. Pacquiao is averaging more than a million buys/fight. Do you think Floyd's offer to Pacquiao of flat $40M w/out ppv is fair? I agree Floyd sell more ppv than Pacquiao, but only slightly. And what do you think is the right/fair split?

This. A flat fee to either Pac or Floyd is ridiculous. They should work out a percentage split.

Ae you referring to the interview someone posted with the Australian guy. He meant 50/50 of paper view. His English isn't clear. What do you think the 50/50 is for the gate?
