This is not absolutely true! Not wanting to badmoth Floyd's legacy and achievements, he really fought a prime Hatton and Ortiz and maybe Zab and JLC, definitely Diego Corrales, one of his biggest wins as well as Manfredi and Jesus Chavez. DLH was partially shot even tho he put on a great effort that pumped Floyd into the sky, Marquez was too small at 142 pounds and at age 36 plus to fight mayweather at 147 WW, Mosley was supposed to have been a good fight but he was shot after the second round and clearly outworked and outclassed by Floyd and Cotto was far way from his best days at LWW and even when he kayoed Quintana for the vacant WBA WW belt and b4 he took on Urkal in PR and Zab in MSG.

hatton was undefeated and in his prime, corrales was, oscar was a better version of oscar than the one manny fought, that's for damn sure. look, there are no ray leonards out there. ray stopped hearns and benitez, two undefeated hall of famers in their prime.

None, as there were no prime HOF's available at/around his weight. I've yet to see any of these people state one prime HOF fighter he avoided.

He could have fought Mosely, De la Hoya, Cotto, Paquiao, Forest, Tysu, (non-HOF Williams, Margarito, )

I think Castillo was a great fighter at lightweight, despite not building an exceptional resume. However, I think Castillo won the first fight clearly whilst Mayweather won a close rematch.

"As of right now, it's no deal - they changed the money on me at the last second," said promoter Gary Shaw, who said he was close to finalizing the fight when he walked into Top Rank and Bob Arum's office Thursday.

But within seconds, he said, the deal evaporated.

"I walked in, I told him: "I believe we have a deal,' " Shaw said. "And Bob said, "so it's a deal - 55-45 (money split)'.

"I said, "Bob, that was never, ever discussed, no deal' and that was that."

The only shoo-in HOF'ers Floyd has beaten is ODLH and Mosley. And they weren't in their prime.

Then again, who said you needed to beat a prime great to be a great fighter?
