Even with the money out there, where are all the American fighters? I truly believe there are not enough boxing gyms out there like they use to.

I used to do it for the women.

Of course, this never worked, but it was a decent theory.

For money you could.Do you honestly think that most people like their jobs? Often,it's just a way of putting food on the table.

SRR was forced to climb back into the ropes after his businesses failed, after he first retired and done with the sport. It's no surprise him disliking it-even though it was the only real talent he had.

It's possible he was lying to an extent. I could see him feeling at home in the boxing world, liking the limelight or still getting a kick out of beating other boxers up...

That's how it is with me too basically. Fighting is naturally something that maybe needs to be done sometimes but very rarely, only in extreme situations. It's more like necessary evil, no one perfectly healthy mentally likes it, I think. I'd actually hate it if I had to inflict hurt on someone random just for the "sport".

I do enjoy the game, the "sweet science" aspect of it though.

He sure loved it, but at some point he just stopped because to much hard fights training and pretty much every thing in his life was about boxing so after a while it must become tiresome and love for the sport vanishes.

this is why I watch it. I wouldn't be watching boxing no more if everyone was all sluggers and punchers.

Young guys, who puff-up with PEDs to be bigger, stronger and tougher, have been bitten by the MMA bug, C. No longer think of boxers as the baddest men on the planet.
