Not hard to accomplish when there are 4 belts in each division. Last relevant fighter he beat was a close points dec over Mosley 5 years ago. Never ruled a division. Never top 3 pound for pound. Never beat a prime elite. Ect ect.

Who rules divisions anymore? HOW OFTEN DOES AS FIGHTER, NOW DAYS, RULE AND DOMINATE ANYTHING? I agree with a lot of what you said, however, if you treat all fighters like that, then you maybe only have a handful of fighters who deserve praise.

Boxing has changed. If you got one of the four major belts, you are a splintered champ. Cotto has a solid resume and a great title record to boot. In this era, he's accomplished way more on paper than 95% of fighters out there.
