So Bat was telling us Sauerland was giving Stieglitz around 6 ****in millions to come to Parken deliver his belt to Kessler.

Now Green is getting 20 times less that amount? Is the WBO belt worth 5.6M?

    :rofl

Stieglitz was to make between 10-15 million danish kroner for the Kessler fight according to danish media. That's between 1.7 and 2.5 in USD.

Stieglitz was crazy not to take the fight, but it was closer to 1.5-2 mill as far as I have heard..

It was Kessler who didnt take it/Sauerland got other plans instead.

My guess is that they either just saw better opportunities in LHW or the fight became to expensive.

Stieglitz wanted the fight. Sauerland cancelled it for AA to get the first shot.

Yes, I know that was how it ended, but didnt Stieglitzx have the chance to sign earlier?

I know that in the end the money seemed a bit too steep for Sauerland and they pulled the plug.

Big fanbase for Mikkel Kessler here in Denmark - he doesn't have to be the best in the world to draw in the fans - it's like in football where you support your own guys even if they don't win the world cup. Kinda weird how Kessler can probably make more fighting someone like Green than the divisional champ Andre Ward could fighting a similar level opponent. Anyway, I'll be watching ;-)
