I've never said FLoyd wasn't a factor. But it was still DLh as the A side, and the top draw for a decade before this.

There are a lot of reasons as to why, and NOT just because it involved Floyd. Had they done 24/7's years before, I'm pretty sure DLH's (or anyone else for that matter) would have higher PPV sales. It's all in the promotions involved.

Those numbers are for the period May 1, 2011 thru May 1, 2012.

Manny fought Mosley on May 7th and Marquez on Nov 12th of last year, making $67 million.

Floyd fought Ortiz on Sept 17th in the same period, making $40 million.

If you do a "last two fights" comparison, Floyd made $85-90 million (estimated, don't think the numbers are in) in comparison to Manny's 67 million.

Not one of you have put a pen to paper and presented even half of the facts/figures this dude has. I've asked at least 5 times for someone to show me figures/numbers/information to support your position and it's yet to come. I'm not talking about PPV numbers...I'm talking about earnings, I'm talking about fight split numbers, I'm talking about legitimate information to support you guys position, please show me.

:huh My position? I am asking what their post DLH numbers are. If you have those, as well as earnings, feel free to post them. Your new friend can post all day and noight what he thinks Floyd and Pac makes, but I take that with a grain of salt. From ANYONE actually. Why posters think we are privvy to financials is beyond me.

If you are talking a bout earning, do you seperate what floyd makes into: his purse, and his earnining for his 'promotional' ties? Otherwise that would be like DLH using how much he made as a boxer and promoter of an event to say say that's what he earned for his fight. It's true, and it isn't. If you understand.

BTW, I am NOT a "YOU GUYS", I'm s single poster. Feel free to adress other on what they say. I speak for myself. Thanks.

He made $40 million against Ortiz as a boxer and promoter.

"Money" Mayweather has been a part of the four biggest non-heavyweight pay-per-view events in boxing's history and he now regularly earns $40 million per fight. Mayweather maximizes his earnings by also acting as the fight promoter through his company Mayweather Promotions. The boxing world is clamoring for a showdown between Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao that would likely be the most lucrative fight ever. Mayweather must first complete an 87-day prison sentence after he pleaded guilty in December, 2011 to a charge that he attacked his ex-girlfriend.

Floyd can cap his legacy rich with a reputation of never fighting the best, or rich having taken on (and probably beaten) the best of his era. Money ain't everything and he's got that either way.

    Unfortunately money doesn't buy balls.

When you watch Manny Pacquiao fight...do you recall hearing "brought to you by Top Rank Promotions, MP Promotions, etc.."

MP Promotions. I'll let you figure it out.

I know exactly what he means. He's trying to void out Floyd making more money than Manny because they don't follow the same business model, i.e. Floyd not being locked into a contract with a promoter and being a free agent. So what? The argument was who makes more.

Floyd pays a flat fee to Golden Boy for co-promotion. Manny co-promotes and has a contract with Arum, who takes almost a 3rd of his earnings. Floyd's earnings on Forbes don't take a hit because of his business model, why now. Is this really going to be the argument?

Floyd makes more, and consistently has higher PPV numbers than Manny.

May may or may not have been the bigger cash cow lately but they both deserve fifty/sixty.

And yet, you have NO CLUE how much floyd makes as a 'promoter', and as a fighter. Those are two different things. That's the while ****in point. :patsch
