Implying overconfidence. Surprising to see fear in the same sentence as pacquiao! Ariza tells it how it is.

At the same time you need people that are critical, honest, outspoken in the camp. If you have a bunch of yes men, manny will never improve. Aria is pushing manny. Manny saying he's 90% and aria says no way, aria just wants many to do better

Had they given emmanuel the lost he rightfully deserved against Juan we wouldn't be subject to all these lame excuses

While their last fight was something I'll always attribute to Marquez more than anything else that has to do with Manny's camp, this mentality in general does make sense. The Cotto fight was the best we'd ever seen Manny; it was the first time Manny was going up against a fighter whose weight translated into effective, executable power and Manny was still untested at the higher weights since the Oscar fight was somewhat invalidated by Oscar's condition. Manny said he wanted to "feel" his training, got a taste of what he could take on the ropes, and for the rest of the time performed like it was life or death for him.

At the time, Cotto was the biggest guy Pac had ever faced. And very skilled too. You can see the damage Cotto inflicted on Pac. Had to wear a bandage around his head while performing at his post fight concert.

not on this topic but this ariza criticizing pac in public is disrespectful...pac should just let him go since it doesn't seem like he's going to quit doing it anytime soon.

Cotto was ****ing lethargic against Pacquiao. Irrelevant ****. And your damn straight Pacquiao was scared of Cotto, scared enough to demand a ****ing catch weight.

    *******s, WHY?

It's the truth though, Pacquiao was talking about how he was going to knock Marquez out to shut him up before their fight, that was uncustomary for him. There had to have been some complacency there.

For the Cotto fight the most confident thing I heard Pac say was that he believes in his power. Cotto coincidentally for that fight was very arrogant and publically wrote off Pac's win over DLH using the weight-drained argument and called Hatton overrated to dimiss Pac's knockout. He didn't take Pac as seriously as he should have and got destroyed.

If Ariza speaking his mind makes Pac recognise that he wasn't totally focused and re-enforces the importance of making sure he is, it can only be good for Pac going forward.

Coz pac was going up in weight against a legit 147 fighter. ODLH was no catchweight coz Pac can't demand for **** though not bad for somebody who just fought @ 135 then face ODLH @ 147.

Pacquiao actually fought Marquez at 130 the same year he fought DLH at 147. How many fighters have fought across 4 divisions in under 9 months?

Many were claiming Pac was almost done after the Marquez fight and the DLH fight was for Arum and Roach to cash out on him, which everyone forgets, but that's ok haters gonna hate
