but he doesn't...at 130 he fought everyone who was willing to make the money right...fought the best lw Castillo was ranked #1 and then #3 x2. #3 ranked Ndou At 140 he was building himself so i'll give you that..isn't his fault Cotto and Hatton were not interested. Gatti was #1 at the time but I'll leave that alone and give it to you. At 147 he fought Zab ranked #3 Carlos ranked #1 Hatton ranked #8 in the world Marquez ranked #2 in the world Mosley ranked #1 at WW and #3 in the world Ortiz ranked #3 at WW At 154 he fought Oscar ranked #1 at 154 Cotto ranked #1 at 154. Recently, Pac fought a #5 in the world Marquez #6 WW Mosley UNRANKED Margarito at 150 #6 WW Clottey #1 WW Cotto You don't see Floyd having ANY #6's or unranked. To add-That unranked Margarito hurt Manny more than it helped him.
His resume above 140 is what imo keeps him in the 40 range for me ..To me he carefully selected opponents to protect that 0 . I can't see anything that he's done that would rank him higher ..Im not denying he's an all time great its just where he is as one is what I argue ..
I'll agree with this but he faced Judah and Baldomir both champions that at the time people wanted him to face. its just that people want to see him fight someone and in the end when he beats them they want something else Cotto-admitted he never challenged Mayweather Margarito=if the fight had happened when Arum wanted Mayweather wouldnt have been able to fight De La Hoya (the fight that made him a star) Williams-other than not being a draw this is the only fight i agree he couldve taken and didnt. As for DLH, dont even mention him with Pacquiao and Mayweather when it comes to fighting the best. DLH fought everyone there was to fight, like you said he has losses but something noone can ever say is he ducked them
