I think two of these guys in particular don't belong anywhere near any top 10 p4p list, but overall it seems much better to me than Hearns' and about as sensible as Steward's? What do you lot think? I've always liked Al as a commentator and host. His first two match mine, anyway.

    1: Sugar Ray Robinson

    2: Henry Armstrong

    3: Archie Moore

    4: Joe Louis

    5: Muhammad Ali

    6: Sugar Ray Leonard

    7: Jack Johnson

    8: Marvin Hagler

    9: Roberto Duran

    10: Ricardo Lopez

Is it a cliche now? ;-)

Also, when I met Al' he was a dick. Admittedly it was gone 03:00 a.m and I was drunk, but still....

No Greb, Charles or Langford. :-(

    Lopez and Johnson. :rofl

I wouldn't have Hagler or Louis there either. :bart

Still a good fight analyst (past prime mind you) despite that embarrassing effort.

I have serious trouble considering them top ten heavyweights, much less P4P.

Tell you what though, SRR is going to dominate the No. 1 spot of these things for eternity and I'm alright with that. Henry can be right there too. :yep :deal

...Surprising, considering Al's knowledge of the sport. Three heavies in the top ten?

Al was ringside for quite a lot of Ricardo's fights. He did have a particular affect on those that saw him first-hand, such was his expertise against his limited opposition.

Still, you should still be able to use common sense IMO.

I have the exact same top 4 as Steward, in that exact order... after that tho he throws his credability down the toilet....

Hearns list is the worst I`ve ever seen (outside of ESB General lists), it reeks of punch-drunkness....

Al`s list is dire as well but overall not as bad as the other 2.

    Crazy :patsch

5 of those names I have in my top 10, And 7 of them are in my top 15, so it's not too bad IMO.

Lopez is a very odd inclusion, and I wouldn't have Jack Johnson in my top 20, even tho I'm a massive fan.

I think Langford, Charles and Greb have to be included in anyone's top 10, as does Fitzsimmons.

I agree. More popularity contest and what era someone got into boxing.
