Yep, For the Fury fight he came in overweight, unmotivated, did no training, an had no plan ..An at his absolute worst, he STILL went 12 hard rounds with Tyson, who has since then, stopped eveone else he's shared the ring with. If he'd had came in as prepeared as he was for Vitali, He would likley be Commonwealth Champ.
:deal don't agree with you often but i do here Chef. I've said this in serveral threads recently. Chisora hasn't got a clue how to cut the ring off. Chasing after Haye in straight lines is just going to lead to many punches hitting his mandible.... swiftly followed by an expression on his face saying 'where the **** did he go?'
Not for one moment am I suggesting that either of the fighters in this contest is in the same class, but I think the Lewis / Tua fight may offer us a blueprint for this one. Ok Chisora looks like he hasn't got the one punch KO power of Tua, but he has a similar cross-arm defence, the relentless come-forward style, and the big swinging punches (with less reliance on jabs). The Lewis / Tua fight wasn't the best, Lewis's agility, movement and style made Tua look very slow and plodding, and I have a feeling that this contest may be very similar in how it plays out. I'm not convinced Haye will win, although he probably should, but I just have a feeling the best bit about it is going to be the build-up!:bbb
So they said. I don't know how far that can be believed though. They probably both had injuries but how bad were their injuries really? I think a lot of it could just be overplayed as an excuse for a poor performance.
Helnius broke 2 bones in his hand in the first round.... hence why he never used his right hand with any conviction from then on. Vitali tore his left rotator cuff... hence the lack of use of his left hand :good Or you can do what some are doing and just start believing that Chisora became a top notch HW overnight without changing **** all with his slow, plodding, crude slappy style????
Haye doesn't put 'clinics' on anyone. He either runs and infrequently engages to get a decision, or tries to bomb them out early. If neither of those tactics work he's generally ****ed. His head movement is world class in spurts, but against a swarmer he does not have the stamina or concentration level to evade everything that is thrown at him. Chisora's style and attributes are very similar to Thompson's and Fragomeni's yet you say his style is 'all wrong' for Haye? How so?
Chisora couldn't put a dent in Chisora or Wlad? Do you perhaps mean Helenius and Vitali? Yeah, being unable to knock out two guys who've never been knocked out before means his punches will just bounce off the iron dome of David Haye. Never mind old shot cruiserweights miraculously doing just the opposite.
Did you watch the Carl Thompson fight???? Most referees would have stopped that fight long before the conclusion. Thompson was getting beaten from pillar to post. haye was in his 11th pro fight and showed his inexperience by going balls out too soon and lost via exhaustion.... He has learnt from that loss same as Del Boy has learnt not to turn up to a fight in his fat suit
Haye hit and ran against sloth Valuev and stole a decision. Chisora battered Helenius for twelve rounds and got blatantly robbed. Haye rabbit punched old John Ruiz into submission in nine rounds. Chisora knocked out Danny Williams in one round. Haye knocked out the hapless Audley Harrison in three. Chisora beat top domestic level opponent Sam Sexton twice, including once by knockout. Haye got shut out by Wlad. Chisora pushed Vitali to the limit. How exactly is Haye so head and shoulders above Dereck again? Oh yeah, fake WBA paper belt, I forgot.
Dude... you don't half talk some ****. Chisora didn't have much power against domestic opposition neither.... Wlad landed his (supposedly) superman like right cross on Hayes chin a couple of times and didn't so much as drop Haye. Dereck is a cuffing arm puncher... granted there is weight behind it but do yourself a favour... don't get too excited by Del Boy... you'll only end up disappointed
Best conditioned heavyweight on the planet?? Are you having a ****ing laugh? The ****** gasses out in three rounds of moderately fast activity, and has to throw in the double digits to avoid tiring his juiced up beach muscles out. Vitali, Adamek, and even tub o ginger lard Povetkin have a higher workrate than him. Chisora certainly does. As did Carl Thompson.
