Man, what a difference in popularity now compared to 2 years ago. Since the marquez fight, it has all been downhill from there. All the excuses, the ariza feud, and most recently the gay marriage comments. . . i think if he performs poorly against Bradley, we could see the end of the pacquiao hype train. thoughts. . . . . .

the hype train has already ended. It's just the forums are not an accurate microcosm of regular society. Only people still on the train are the ones that don't know any better (i.e. the fools and the ones that have a tattoo of PAC - and I don't mean Tupac).

yer its def on the downward slope... both inside the ring and out..

i havent been impressed with him since marg and that seems like such a long time ago...

i could see all these effecting he's fight with bradley and might cause an upset .. im going to be placing 20 on bradley for a win. which will only make me angrier because he will get robbed

You have to wait and see.

His anti-gay marriage thing is one thing but his training is another.

If anything, maybe, being more religious has made him focus on what is important and in doing so, it could help his boxing because his life isn't so wild.

    We'll see though.

Yeah, 2011 was shocking by his standards. He's not only performed badly inside the ring, but his handlers have made some poor decisions for him, too. Amongst hardcore boxing fans he does appear to be on the downward slope, yes.

Over the years I think that arum has done a great job of making pac look great inside and outside of the ring. However I think arum can now see the end and in doing so he isn't working as hard. Pac over the past year is taking a public beating cheating on his wife and taxes, robbing his foundation. Things have come out before but pac had seemed untouchable with his hanger ons taking the blame. Now people are like wtf?

Pac has always done dodgy things outside the ring. Even before he became a superstar. Gambling, drinking, ****in' about with women, etc, none of it is new.

I think the Mosley fight was the beginning of the end for Manny. He really could use a dynamic showing against Bradley, or its only gonna get worse.

No Homie I'm Not a Flamo
But Floyd Never took an L
If Floyd Gets Beat He will have another PPV Mega fight and People will Tune in to See if he can Avenge it!! If he gets Beat Again thats it for Floyd!!!

Manny already have a few L's.. thats the way the Sport works.

Trust me if Floyd gets Beat More People Will Watch the Rematch to see if it was some Fluke sh!t

  15. Yeah he's losing popularity. I used to love the guy (well I still do for his old stuff). But after a lackluster one against Mosley (mostly Mosleys fault for that ****ing glove tapping **** WHAT THE ****! ****, ****. ****.) Still grates me to this day. Then a questionable win of Marquez in a close fight. I had it for Marquez but had a few close rounds so don't outright condemn the decision.
I think he really needs to knock out Bradley to win back that respect. I really hope he does as then everyone will be excited about the superfight. I think people are losing interest at this moment in time due to Mannys popularity waining. If he UD's Bradley in a close fight then he should take what he can get to fight Floyd who is the bigger draw. If he loses, I lose interest in the fight completely.

As a footnote I think most people will forgive or forget goings on outside of the ring as long as you remain brilliant in it. That's why his outside life is more of a focus of negativity now. I mean really, who here really gives a **** about Gambling, cheating and **** fighting?? He's a red blooded male
