So many things wrong with that post it's untrue. Haye fought a 7ft 2" guy that likes to bear hug... so won the fight by applying that crazy method called 'hit and don't get hit'. Chisora got robbed against a over hyped, 1 armed protected fighter. Haye was only the 2nd person (the other being that feeble punching guy called Tua) to stop Ruiz after busting his face up for 9 rounds. Chisora knocked out one of the most shot and punch drunk people in boxing.... The fact you even mentioned a win over that version of Danny Williams is ****ing laughable. Audley is better than Sexton.... deal with it. Haye got shut out by the best HW in the world. Chisora showed heart whilst getting shut out by the declining, 41 year old, 1 armed Vitali. Haye was unified CW champion. Amateur World Championship silver medalist, HW title holder.... Chisora was British HW champ until he got outboxed by Tyson ****ing Fury.... come again... it's been fun
Ruiz staggered Haye. Monte Barrett dropped him. Neither of those fighters are especially hard hitting compared to Wlad, but they were more willing to engage which is what Chisora will do. Sometimes you don't need to be a hard puncher to get a reaction if you throw enough and aren't worried about what's coming back.
Not really. Haye doesn't have the boxing ability or the height advantage over Chisora that Lewis had over Tua. And Chisora isn't anywhere near as hard hitting. Closest analogies to this fight are Haye v Thompson, Haye v Fragomeni, and Haye v Ruiz. Fight will look something like those, IMO.
Ruiz staggered.... don't remember him doing **** to Haye though. Barrett knockdown was genuine... although Haye was dropped due to his **** poor balance and his square on stance at the time... not from the power of Barrett or through having a bad chin. You are either a troll or know **** all about the subject you are choosing to discuss.
Lame comparison......besides an ancient Carl Thompson is still streets ahead of a fully focussed and motivated Chisora
Haye still goes balls out if he thinks he's got an opponent the slightest bit hurt. He did it against Barrett, he did it against Ruiz and he did it against Audley. If there's one thing Haye's learnt since the Thompson beating it's how to hit and run till he gets his wind back. Fundamentally he still makes many of the same mistakes he did then.
I said the same yesterday.... Ruiz had quick feet, could cut the ring off and was doubling up on his jab... Chisora so far has shown he has none of those things in his locker. Chisora will keep plowing forward in straight lines, eating punches and looking to wing in slow arse hooks. The level to which Chisora is being over rated for lasting 12 rounds against a faded 1 armed Vitali is hilarious. it's like people can no longer judge a fighter's skill and abilities.
Chisora's lethargic, straight-lined windmilling style will make Haye look sensational. Haye will beat up Chisora who will not be able to land any of his shots. And Chisora doesnt have this granite chin that people are lauding - he was rocked in the first round against that moving statue Robert Helenius. It will be all over within 6 one-sided rounds when Haye finally destroys Chisora. Then there will be an epic chorus of ranting and raving in the post-mortem, about a **** uncompetitive match up, another rip-off hypejob, the fight should never haven been allowed to happen in the first place blah blah.....
Helenius was protected was he? What a load of cobblers. He was one of the least protected prospects out there. You don't get in the ring with three hard hitting former world champions before your seventeenth fight if you're protected. And then proceed to knock them sparkers. As for Haye's performance against Valuev, ****, hep-ridden Chagaev and old man Holyfield had a better showing than mr hit n' run boy. So what? Ruiz was old and shot. And Haye still had to resort to blatant rabbit punches to get Ruiz out of there, rabbit punches which, incidentally, were never counted by the referee except for the first one where he still called it a knockdown! Yeah, some achievement. I mentioned Danny Williams because it was a **** win over a name opponent. Same as Ruiz. :rofl Oh, so suddenly Vitali is the shitter weaker brother is he? So why the hell does Haye want to fight him then? Audley was Olympic Gold Medalist. Yeah, so ****ing what? Haye's pedigree at heavyweight rests solely on his fraudulent WBA belt which he stole off walking corpse Valuev and defended against a string of opponents that would make Larry Holmes ashamed. You've just acknowledged that the Fury fight has the same relevance to Chisora as the Carl Thompson fight has for Haye, which you've constantly been making excuses for. Yet suddenly it's a big deal. Do you even have any idea what you're arguing about?
I think Ruiz was a very underrated fighter; ok he wasn't always the most exciting heavyweight, but he was so tough and could cause just about anyone problems. The three fights against Holyfield were guelling (and I think Holyfield still had a fair bit left at that stage); he dropped Holyfield properly and not many have ever done that.
Haye got knocked down because he has a china dome. It's not the first time he's been dropped by glancing punches to the top of his head. Mock did it as well and so did... Carl Thompson!!!
