    Does is really matter ?

The man held 3 of the 8 titles available when being champion meant much more than these days.

Except, Cotto wasn't even the #1 fighter at 154( has NEVER beat a top 3, 154 fighter), so basically May is just another paper champ at 154, You become the True Champ by beating the #1 fighter in a division, not the #1 SUPERSTAR in the division, this isn't WWE, and we know the deal, PLUS, Armstrong held titles, at 126, 135, and 147, skipping two divisions, so May has to win a tittle at 160, then another at 175 vs Dawson:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl will never happen, or go down to 135 and beat Marquez :!::!::!::!: that would equal Armstrong, May holding titles at 135, 147 and 160 at the same time :hey

and add to that May is not actually the True champ at 147, so basically May has to beat Pac, at 147, Marquez at 135, and Martinez at 160.

    Tie?

Is Mayweather a champ in two of the original eight divisions?

If not how is he going to tie what Armstrong did even if he beat Martinez?

Because he'll be a three weight world champion. Where does it say in the record books it "had to be the original 8"?

Then it wont mean **** compared to what Armstrong did.

He already is a five weight WC(not at the same time of course).

Holding a belt in three divisions in this day and age where theres so many belts and so many called champs isnt nothing special.

Guys like Pac,Donaire,Gamboa could also do that.

But they haven't come close. Pac hasn't fought a #1 guy since 2009 at 140.

Floyd has won titles from the #1 fighters in two divisions, if he moves up and fights the #1 MW Martinez that will be THREE world championships in different weights at one time, the same thing Armstrong is recognized for.

You might not like it but it's possible he can.

Mosley was #1 when Pacquiao ducked him and Floyd beat him, then he moved to 154 and beat Cotto who was #1 and for his title.

All he has to do is beat Martinez and he has this **** on lock.

Floyd fought Mosley and Coto two years apart.

Did boxing stopped during those two years?

You can twist every each way you want but Floyd is not tying no record.

So, he fought Ortiz for his belt too. Ortiz was a top 3 guy. Has Floyd been stripped of his titles or something?

Tell us about Pac's "title" at 147, please.

No way in hell he was the #1 guy at 154 after Sergio, especially when you line up his 154 resume with other beltholders and top level fighters in the division.

Yuri Foreman, Mayorga, and Margarito at 154 is **** poor.

    No, it doesn't.

It's an accomplishment that will stand alone in it's uniqueness. That isn't today's fighters' fault, but are we not going to recognize how few champions and divisions existed in the time period? Henry will always be The Multi-Division Champion in the greatest sense it can be applied.

So who was #1? ESPN, Boxrec, and RING all had him at #1.

Feel free to prove me wrong.
