Sweat pea didnt really do anything. granted de la hoya hit mostly air in this case, which I dont always agree, the more agressive fighter won in my eyes

I thought his aggressiveness was infective since he missed the target many many times and i gave the edge to Whitaker.
It was a really small edge on my card because i had it 115-113 Whitaker and i had the first round even.

TS you forgot the DRAW option. Sweet Pea threw more, but Oscar landed abit more. Hard fight to score as first time I had it for Oscar, second time for Sweet Pea. Draw would of been fair. Whitakers last great performance.

It was a close fight, but I felt De La Hoya comfortably won. He did more and landed the better shots more consistantly.

It seemed that the reason Whitaker was messing around at times, was because everytime he got serious, he got tagged, and Oscar De La Hoya, in his prime was a ****ing MONSTER hitter... Sweet Pea didn't want none of that.

Had it for oscar close, but I wouldn't have been mad at a draw. Don't think I could score it for pea winning thou

I thought it was a fair decision. Oscar basically discouraged and prevented Whitaker to mount any offense and kept him on the backfoot on the defense. And when Whitaker did hit Oscar he didn't have much on those shots. I thought Oscar basically was in control the whole fight and trying to hurt Whitaker while Whitaker was trying to outpoint Oscar. Oscar tag Sweet pea with better shots though.

Watching it the first time Oscar won, Whitaker ****ed around too much in there and thats what costed him the fight. if you noticed a majority of Oscars shots missed they looked like they were scoring but if you pay attention very few actually hit Whitaker.

So the 2nd time I watched it the fight was obviously Whitakers but its his own damn fault for playing around he had the fight won but judges just dont like that **** some times how many losses should be wins for Augustus? you see what I am saying...

I agree with that actually. Pea had a pretty big ego and he didn't like getting hit, so he tried to play it off and would get hit again. his eye was pretty messed up at the end of the fight.

There was this black poster who was anti-DLH and pro-black fighter...I forgot his name, but he was raving on how Whitaker was robbed on a thread, someone posted the full fight, and he came back and said DLH clearly won, but it was close.
