Cotto also tried to fight inside. See round 4. He pinned manny on the ropes and Banged him with powerful shots. He did it because Cotto is a powerful guy. He packs a punch and has above average power to intimidate Manny to back off.

Bradley has no Power to make Pac hesitate to engage. Bradley would not bypass Manny's mid range barrage. And Bradley is not a counter punching Genius like JMM. And he would not out speed Manny either.

I'd say Bradley will RUN when he feels how much power Manny has.:verysad

    Early on it will be.

But if he starves him of success to begin with (say, rounds 1-6) by adopting JMM's and Mosley's tactics of retreating and landing a few sneaky counters of his own, he'll upset Pacquiao and reduce his ferocity. As you saw in the second half of the JMM fight, he looked dejected and wasn't even trying. That's when Bradley needs to take the fight to him. Pacquiao will be less dangerous then.

    That is fact.

What Bradley should do is to wait for Manny to be frustrated by choosing his spot and not engage him or bring the fight to him. Bradley with his pillow punches would be at a disadvantage. He is younger than Pac so he should be patient enough to tire Manny at least to a considerable level before taking his advantage inside. He should not make the same mistake that Cotto did.

You people are nuts if you even think Bradley would match Pac head on. :tired

for an example, go to 44:27 in the Alexander fight. Bradley ducks, avoids punches. Here he even throws in a Whitaker-style deep knee bend. Mabe he's not quick enough to avoid Pacquiao's rapid fire combos, but at the very least it's clear Bradley is no chin-defense Hatton.

Bradley is very smart and very quick.
    I don't think he'll make it a brawl.

Both will try to do some successful "in and out".

    Very interesting fight.

Yes it'd be too risky for him to take the fight to Pacquiao because of how wide he gets in offense. BUT I think he should fight him up close and only back him up, if he has Pacquiao tied up.

Pacquiao sucks up close, but getting close on him is hard. So Bradley needs to let Pacquiao come to him and then tie him up and out muscle him. Try to replicate Andre Ward or Hopkins up close so you can fight Pacquiao there w/o him being able to get leverage on his punches and stop him from being able to just run out.

    That's wrong actually.

Hatton didn't do bad at all in the inside against Pacquiao. What he failed at was getting inside with getting blasted.

    I disagree.

I think Hatton attempted to bully Pacquaio with cheap head shots, and he managed to do it with his strength advantage, but Pacquaio tied Hatton up everytime Hatton got too close, or he ducked and moved, and counterpunched.

I think Pacquaio's inside fighting ability might be signficantly underrated. Considering Bradley is one of the top fighters in the sport at inside fighting, we will likely find out how good Pacquaio really is on the inside.

Bradley is very open on the inside, but it is feasible. He'd have to do it in strategic bursts where the opportunity to push him back presents itself, and he'd have to do so while keeping his head low and guard tight. His biggest flaws on the inside are his looping punches and failure to bring his hands back when throwing in combination. If he can correct those mistakes, ambushing Manny by coming forward and then trying to out-maneuver him in the clinch could work. Boxing laterally would be the other mode, and switching between the two would probably be his best bet. He'd have to catch Manny by surprise when rushing forward off balance, like Morales did, because if he comes straight in, Manny will just circle and attack from the side. His biggest challenge will be actually corning him.

I don't expect this to happen, but if he maximized his ability to advance responsibly, it would prove an invaluable tool to winning rounds and neutralizing Manny's space to work offensively and defensively.

What I see in this fight is Hatton being close and having success when he has Pacquiao at a distance he can't get leverage on his punches and is able to tie one of his hands up.

And I see Pacquiao countering Hatton as he comes in and moving out at angles to prevent himself from getting inside

Here's another fight yall should watch. Sanchez was dirty as hell, but this was Pacquiao's first draw and it involved a bunch of infighting
