Unless anyone on ESB works for GBP then we are all guessing!

One thing is for sure they don't get 27.5%

No fighter under Al Haymon gives up anywhere near that much.

mayweather doesn't promote himself....when oscar bailed him out a few years ago with that tax problem, you best believe oscar owns him now (no racist)

PBF hires GBP and pays them. Its a mutually beneficial relationship . . . think about it floyd does not have enough fighters in house to create a card therefore he brings Oscar on to fill in the blanks. Floyds company is used to promote him and a select few who he has taken on. GB is Much bigger and has a larger stable. I am sure PBF could work with another promoter (except Arum of course) but why mess with a good thing

I imagine they all have promotional companies so that the income they make is put through the company and taken out through dividends. More tax efficient than just receiving the purse as a 'salary'.

Looking at the Pay per view figures I suspect The Money Team and Mayweather promotions made $50 Million USD. Mayweather is his own boss.

gbp takes maybe about 20-30% of the money it guaranteed floyd and cotto from the profit after everybody involved has been paid.

    i'll say 7-11mil.

I work for a financial institution and I deal with business who write off everything and their mommas... THE REASON why the top paid fighters have their own promotional company is because as a business they get to write off many of the expenses they inevitably have to pay.

Where as if they got paid as an employee, they don't enjoy the same benefits, and bonuses are texed at 35+%.

Well, seeing as how Mayweather Promotions isn't anything more than a pretty banner, it's fair to say GBP makes something to promote his fight. i find it hard to believe that they would promote Floyd's fight out of the goodness of their hearts though i'm sure his deal structures make him enough that he can't complain about them doing the heavy lifting.
