LMAO! Pacquiao is only getting 6 million as a base purse vs Bradley.

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by iron_chin, May 16, 2012.

  1. Since most of Pacquiao's money is made from promotion companies OUTSIDE the U.S., very little of his actual purse gets officially listed for public record. All they are required to list there is the guaranteed purse as far as the NSAC is concerned.. for the fight. The promotion companies in the Philippines don't have to record anything with the NSAC.

So don't cum all in your pants about it.

It is true because Dan "who doesn't know either" says so.

Look idiot, if it ain't writ it ain't $hit. The only thing we have written is the NSAC contracts. Mayweather's reflect the amounts he says he is getting BEFORE PPV revenue. Pac's require "belief" and "faith".

The truth is quite apparent.

I don't know anything about GBP, highly doubt it's 25%. If TR is promoting the card and making the guarantee, Arum's cut has already been deducted. Unless the ppv is a huge bomb, Arum likely makes a lot more than the standard cut in this case.

Not certain but read that the settlement with GoldenBoy after Manny signed the 2 contracts, meant they took 25% of his earnings.Figure does seem high but apparently thats what it is,either way they must be getting something.Manny should fly solo for his last few fights,he will make a big amount before retiring.Arum is the wrong man to trust with your money!

Well that would imply GBP are even worse than Arum, if they take a similar cut despite taking no risk and incurring no promo expenses. Other than them, who should he trust, Don King? James Prince?

Pac is probably not cut out to be a promoter, nor does he seem interested. It's not a simple matter, promoting megafights, even Floyd who's got aspirations and some know how there relies on GBP.

Besides, you forget the buyout clause. If Arum is making tens of millions per fight on Manny, what do you think this is set at?

If he has a buyout clause, no one knows, taking the hit to get out of it would be worth it, considering the financial gains he would get from fighting without him.

Floyd doesn't handle a lot of his promotional work off the bat, but in sitting with GBP and learning, you see him slowly starting to branch out and pull fighters to him, where now looks like in the future Mayweather Promotions will have a solid stable of fighters when he goes the independent route.

You can be sure he has a buyout clause. What we don't know is whether it's just very large (5-10 mil), or astronomical. It depends on whether Arum got him to renegotiate his contract in exchange for something (lower cut long term, or even a one time cash advance).

As you can see, Floyd has a long term interest in promoting. Pac has an interest in politics, I guess. Floyd's promo business has made some strides recently, big upgrades over Wes Ferguson and Dion Savage. Though the Gamboa situation could be trouble, I hope it gets resolved any which way asap. But you shouldn't feel bad for Pac, there are huge opportunities (for graft) for him in politics.

I noticed that Mayweather is developing into a saavy promoter. He promotes himself well, and he is starting to understand how to effectively sell his fights more and more.

He's learned alot from GBP imo, and will do well for himself once he retires.
