Figures. This could be an end of the year/early next year type fight. I could see it being at Staples Center.

Agreed. No belt or anything on the line really.

I'd like to see this towards the end of the year, too.

Both Amir and Victor, hopefully, get through whoever they fight next and then both fight at the end of the year. At the end of the day, they're both fighting for a position they both want to be in, and that's versus Floyd Mayweather.

    Makes sense.

this is a fight that deserves a proper build up and on HBO, maybe even ppv.

    Forget catchweights.

Ortiz proved to be stronger at WW than jrWW. Kinda like Khan when he moved up.

    I like fighters healthy.

You also have to figure in that each fighter will have to do their homework on the other and bring in proper sparring partners to get them ready. It's not like the old days when you just threw them in there and see what happens. Great days. I'll admit I like that better as a fan. But we're in a different era. As a fighter, I would want time to prepare in an era where one fight can set you way back.

And, for those two, belts still mean a lot to fighters. It's good for promotion of a fight and something to show off to the ladies.

Good fight down the road. Just hope it isn't to far down the road. Within one year time.

Agree. It deserves a build-up. But PPV is good for them; not good for me. :D

If it happens next, then yes, but if it happens say at end of the year, Khan beats him, Khan ain't Berto, who lies on the ropes for the whole fight, although he did it in stints against eterson, Kahn will hit and move all night long.

Khan claims he is ready to fight Mayweather and might fight Mayweather year end.
How can he fight Mayweather in December if he's not ready for Ortiz?
I hate people who call out people they have no intention of fighting just to get headlines.
