if it's true that peterson and berto both asked for testing to mask the fact that they took steroids then that's purely idiotic. they each arranged to get theirselves caught. how dumb do you have to be to think, "if I ask them to test us, then they'll never think I did them."...like, seriously? that's ******ed.

 

naw berto aint that big to me, or atleast he aint bigger then ortiz who was fighting at a smaller weight.berto comes in good 157 or 158.ortiz comes in 168 super middle, thats bigger then cotto by 10 pounds.now ortiz is a big mo fo, berto is a solid ww.just short so he looks cocky built.

 

Berto has the classic juicer's look. Thick dense muscles and low subcutaneous bodyfat. Clottey's got a similar look and I'm 99% sure that guy's also on the gear. Or was when he was relevant.

 

berto has always been built and it's obvious he lifts weights..

not all steroids are meant to pack on muscle.. for a boxer, i would see this as a dis-advantage.

i would think something that sped up recovery time might be more beneficial... or something to maintain strength while cutting weight. i don't know the details on the substance he was taking but i'm sure somebody can weigh in..

 

Doubtful. His lineage, KO%, and work rate tell a completely different story. All you have to do is look at the build of Ghanians in Boxing. Being yoked up with little to no body fat is par for the course.
