    Round 2

Jones is still hooking away with his right and left as Rooney pushes out some tepid jabs and misses with his right cross high and wide. Rooney is lining up straight punches but unable to place them on the shorter and slippery southpaw as he roll to either side to set up his two-fisted hooking attack. Jones puts a big overhand left behind a right hook and scores another KD, this one unquestionably legitimate. Rooney easily beats the count and resumes hunting Jones with his ineffective 1-2 attack fired too high and without any timing.

    10-8 Jones

    20-16 Jones

    Round 3

Jones lures Rooney in with his right arm low, shuffling backward slowly, then catching him with a right hook to the jaw when Rooney opens up with his 1-2. Lunging rights to the body by Rooney coming forward, caught on the elbows as Jones pins them together and circles to his left. Jones fishes in with a few belly ticklers. Long slapping left hook to the temple by Rooney as Jones ducks at mid range sizing up body shots. A few more taps to the sides of the head by Rooney switching to southpaw as Jones stays down there reaching for body shots. Right jab and straight left to the body by Jones. Hard right cross by Rooney after missing a jab. Left hook. Uppercut. He's landing better now and keeping Jones quiet. Big right to the body, planted under Jones' elbow. Body shots by Jones. Overhand rights by Rooney, one missing but the next clipping Jones.

    10-9 Rooney

    29-26 Jones

Jr's best round by far, he did pretty damn well switching to southpaw and landing some strong shots. Good fight.

    Round 4

Weak body shots by Jones from outside, leaning his upper body in limply from far away so he can just yank it back when Rooney goes after him with power. Rooney is just looking for the home run shot with uppercuts. Jones stays a moment too long while sidling past the ropes landing soft body shots, and Rooney catches him with a pair of uppercuts. Jones ties up and puts Rooney's back to the ropes, but is backed off with a hard overhand right. Wild 1-2 by Rooney, and Jones ties him up. Jones slips a jab by diving forward, then reels back under a follow up right. Some right hooks by Jones pushing Rooney back to the ropes again, caught on the forearm. Constant aggression by Rooney, throwing all power shots, but not landing cleanly.

    38-36 Jones

The "questionable" knockdown shouldn't even be a factor, as it turns out.

Make the 1st a 10-9 round to Jones and you still can't come up with worse than 37-36 for him.

That's probably why he managed to pick up a loss inside his first five bouts - ALL of which were against guys with losing records. :yep
