Reminds me of when HBO stayed silent about Mayweather-Ortiz. Golden Boy Promotions then did thier own Bob Arum impression and reported 1.25 million. :yep

***** writer Steve Kim thinks it's more like 890K.

HBO OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCES 690K PPV FOR MAYWEATHER VS ORTIZ

"Okay, folks, can anyone show me an article where an HBO official attached his name to the 1.25 million PPV sales claim that the Mayweather/Ortiz fight supposedly did? Yeah, I thought not."

Some fool on here said that Mayweather would have to take the lesser share, you must be on crack!!!Get it through your thick skull, Pac needs mayweather to make some serious bread, m,ayweather doesn't need pac. Again, we see the difference in money between the 2 fighters. Look, I understand most of you hate mayweather b/c he is cocky, skillfull, and keeps proving you guys wrong. Pacman, will never get paid more money in a fight than Mayweather. Oscar and mayweather only began getting paid when they left Bob Arum. Are you guys that stupid that u can't see that? R u trying to say that mayweather and Oscar weren't smart fighters to understand that Bob Arum was raping them? some of you on here need to find a dick cause you acting like some real ho's.

It's true, Golden Boy and Mayweather Promotions were the only ones to announce those "official" numbers. *****s claim HBO did, but have yet to produce evidence.

    :rofl

I agree ortiz v mayweather numbers were fishy no hbo report, but we got the hbo report with the cotto numbers, now let us look at pac.

No report with mosley, no report with JMM. Wasn't marquez the biggest ppv fight of pac career, wouldn't arum and hbo be shouting from the roof tops? So what gives? Someone is telling porkie pies.

And where is Mayweather going to do 3 million buys and get $60-70M+ other than against Pacquiao?

Pac outsold Mayweather in 2 of the past 3 years going head to head, with the highest selling PPV and gate, his fights generated about as much or more money than Floyd's in those years.

If Floyd beats Pac this year with the Cotto fight they will have split the last four 2-2 as PPV King, and the previous two years they each were a B-side in the biggest fights of those years.

The numbers against common opponents as A-sides are virtually even, contrary to popular belief, when you add them all up and on average. Floyd's fights of those generating slightly more money with something like 310M to 305M, again virtually even.

You cannot split these guys as attractions enough to warrant Floyd demanding the share of the take he wants. Selfish reasons are not good enough. If Mayweather doesn't want to make $60-70M for his career-defining fight because he can make $40M against the Victor Ortiz's he should go on fighting those meaningless fights like a puss and stfu about the Pac fight and being one of the greatest.

Pacquiao would be an absolute moron to accept no percentage of the PPV and fight revenue in a fight expected to break PPV and fight revenue records, which he would be half-way responsible for. Why should Mayweather be the only one to benefit the better the fight does? Pacquiao should hear none of that joker's demands. If Pacquiao's earning power continues to increase as it has the last four years he should be commanding $35-40M vs a Cotto or a Marquez for his next fights anyway. He does not need that chump and has no reason to allow Mayweather to exploit him in order to make astronomical amount off his name.
