What's Kessler excuse for going to LHW BTW? I mean he weights just 168 pounds for the Green fight. He's a scared coward that took the easy road to 175 to face lesser competition. First he quit S6 and now this? Kessler is just a joke now.

The fight with Green is only 14 days after the last Steiglitz's fight. I find it a little bizzare. Kessler had «some hand injury», the fight with Steiglitz is canceled; a few days later, he is OK and step up to another division with the «dangerous» Allan Green. Does Steiglitz can not wait 2 weeks for this fight or it is Kessler who uses as an excuse the injury and finally take another road ?

I'm no Bute fan or anything, but I think he has a decent chance against Froch. Froch looked awful slow and limited against Ward, but that may have just been Ward's Irish Slickness at work.

But much like the Klitschkos, any respect people have for Bute's talent is completely ruined by his delusional and semi-******ed fans.

1: Sauerland wants Stieglitz for Abraham (bigger money in that fight, and possibly the only belt, Abraham MAYBE could get at SMW)

2: Allan Green (Brought in on short notice) wouldn't fight at SMW, so they agreed on a catchweight of 172, but Sauerland still promoted the fight as a pure LHW fight to add the bogus WBC belt to the mix, and to make the fight seem more dangerous for Kessler than it is...

If the money is not at LHW, Sauerland will never let Kessler stay there.
Kessler has no weight problem, and could make 160, if he wanted to...

It's all about the (Sauerland) money...

It 's a shame for Kessler. Promoters like team Palle and Sauerland... Ward's headbutts probably the cause of his eyes's problems...

Actually, Kessler has stated, that the double vision problem began during sparring for the Ward fight. He said, that he received a glancing blow to his head from a sparring partner, and suddenly he had intermittent double vision, but not constantly.
The headbutts from Ward made the problem worse, and Kessler has stated, that during the entire build-up to the Froch fight, and during the fight itself, he had double vision, whenever he looked down....

first 2 points i knew but what about Sauerland's money and LHW? Kessler is a draw no matter whom he fights as long as he's not injured. But in the last 2 years he fought twice (counting Green too), m'fraid problems are injuries and inactivity , not weight classes.

I think Bute will surprise us and Froch with his right hook :D

"I'm a natural southpaw. In these conditions , more likely Froch will keep his eye on my left uppercut. But , certainly , he should be careful to my right hook. He will have a big surprise". said Lucian :hey

If Lucian "floors" Froch with his right hook ! :hey

Yeah, Sauerland has publicly stated, that they have lost money on the danish market, since they entered it w Kessler.
A LOT of money was spend on Super 6, where both Kessler and Abraham were pre-tournament favorites, and that was not a good investment for Sauerland.

Kalle Sauerland has said openly to the danish press up to this fight, that Kesslers market value has gone down due to his injuries. The american networks are not keen to plan a fight w Kessler, if there is a big risk, he gets injured before the fight...

I think this fight has been made to capture the attention of the american networks again, and to showcase Kessler as a potential opponent for a high value american fighter (Ward, Dawson, B-hop, Cloud, etc....)

Kessler only has 2 or 3 fights left in him after this (at best), so both Sauerland and Kessler are looking to cash in now...

Nevertheless Kessler himself says that he expects to fight for another 5 years two times a year.

I personally agree with you, thinking that his body can't take the rigours of a hard training Camp more than 2-3 times.

He will the most hurt Froch with the right hook(see Berrio)... I don't think he can put Froch down with it.

I saw an effective right hook in Johnson fight so I think Bute worked and focused even more on this effctive weapon , so I won't be surprised if he drops Froch with his right hook ....... timing and accuracy :yep

In Johnson fight, Bute has shook Glen with his right hook and Johnson has a better chin than Froch imo.

    I would be.

IF Lucian hurts Froch, it'll be with a sneaky power left hook/uppercut that Froch doesn't see coming.
