They just run around playing kick-the-can up and down field without a change in score for hours on end! This content is protected How is this the most popular sport in the world? :-(
When is the BN broadcast starting, Hopefully they have some undercards, I'll watch ESPN 3 at 5 no matter what though.
IB, The real question is : How Americans are the only people in the world that don´t care for Football ???? It´s very very weird !! (there is one or two countries that don´t care too much for it as well, like US, but US is a big country, and people simply ignore the most popular sport in the world) Ah, btw, this game will be to the extra time it seems.......their defenses are too solid......
Whatever, **** the soccer purists. It isn't like the worldwide version of "football" had been around for EONS before the American one came along to usurp & *******ize the name. Association rules were codified in 1863. American football came SIX YEARS LATER, in 1869. BOTH are predated by rugby. So these foreigners really need to get off their high horse. The two sports are essentially the same age.
I'm not a fan of the NFL by any means, but North Americans have every right to call it football as they've been doing for a century and a half now (just about as long as Europe/Africa/Asia/South America have been calling their version football). I actually find them both equally unappealing. However, ironically, I always get excited about the rugby world cup every four years and become one of those obnoxious casual bandwagon fans. (although I'm still a bit murky on the difference between the two types of rugby...or why there's even a need to have two different types...)
NFL is just a bunch of slobs wearing tights grabbing at eachother, Just like Rugby, Both sports are very barbaric and unentertaining, Football/Soccer takes skill, I don't have nothing against it, but nor do I really like and/or follow it. I like fast paced, entertaining, always interesting sports, thats why I like Boxing. :deal
Duuuude....football sucks!!! Let's address the issues: 1) a guy gets rubbed gently, falls down, grabs his leg, cries, acts like his career is over....the ref gives a free kick and suddenly he gets up and take the kick with more finesse than a 16 year old ballerina. 2) Why does FIFA refuse to allow big screen replays? Answer: Football is corrupt. 3) Why does FIFA not allow lasers on goal lines for more accuracy? Answer: Football is corrupt. 4) Why do teams 'suddenly' score in the last few minutes.......several times? 5) Players are too drugged up most of the time to play properly. 6) £100,000 + per week for kicking a ball? Of air?........really?
