I heard an American slating Haye saying no one in the US knows him and he has only fought on TV there twice. I say this is wrong, can anyone help with this?

To my knowledge the Maccarinelli fight was big over there and was live on showtime, also the Klitschko fight was obviously big, any others that were screened?

Haye unknown in mainstream US. US boxing fans know him, but that is not saying much.

Be serious, the Klitshko fight was huge. I know for a fact it was well covered in the US press.

How well known is Adamek in the US? Has he got a higher profile than Haye or is he just known/popular within the Polish community?

He got some exposure with that Chisora scuffle, it was all over the place for a minute.

Adamek has had lots of fights on US TV including that war with Cunningham on regular cable

on HBO he went to war with Paul Briggs

    he has way more exposure

plus some channels show replays of some of his past fights

I can't imagine him being big over there at all, I mean didn't ho go to America to hideout when it all kicked off with Chisora.

Potentially huge money available for a ppv in Vegas though, if the Americans were truly interested. They haven't been since the days of Tyson, though. HW boxing ought to be shown on basic cable in the US - rebuild the fanbase I say!

No one in the U.S knows who Haye is.

Also OP, his fights with Macca and Klit could not be classified as "big" over here.

Even the more casual boxing fans here have not heard of Haye.

My big toe hurts???? **** Haye no one cares, wait there is a pro-black contingent who claim this lame and support only for that reason its an anti -KLIT thing purely based on race like the pro-white faction who support the Klits.

Its a minority but those two factions exist and are a high percentage o f the only Americans who give a **** about Haye

a big factor also is that the US audience DO knwo the HW division and they KNOW the champs and sadly have little interest in it

thats the reason the biggest fights are in germany
