Yeah, that was some horrible corner work. Absolutely shocking corner work arguing amongst themselves while there fighter is just standing there in la la landing as he just got KTFD. Unbelievable work. Everybody in that corner shouldn't be payed and should be fired. That was amateur hour.

As for the fight, it was pretty bad, not much skill, a lot of holding, but Mayfield did his best orthodox Sergio Martinez impression, and well, Serrano did his best Paul Williams impression. That was very vicious. It really was a lot like an orthodox version of Martinez-Williams II.

Not sure why Robney was so convinced he was feather fisted tbh.

Failing to knock out Stevie Forbes is no sign of that. Nor failing to knock out Patrick Lopez for that matter. (and no, that doesn't mean Tim Coleman is some sort of beast...that was just about the styles match-up)

All along I said Mayfield vs. Serrano was a battle of two very mediocre guys who both had horrible ugly styles involving lots of holding, grinding, and butting (and in Mayfield's case, a lot of leaping...and in Serrano's case, a lot of turning his back on the opponent) and that the only thing really separating them was that Mayfield hit much, much harder.
