This, if tests arnt a requirement why should the fighters be the ones to bring it all up, it should be a rule by the commission, untill then people will cheat and get away with it.

Ok so if he has accpeted dont you think it would be wise (especially in light of recent events) that he implemented it for all of his fights.

    here is my answer:

"can you explain why 99.99% of boxing match in america and in the world does not do it? there goes your answer."

the answer was actually mentioned already on this thread. if you still couldn't get it, i can't help you anymore.

I dont think fighters should be goin on crusades / witch hunts and singling out fighters without proof, which just ends up hurting the sport and giving it a bad rep. This needs to be done properly and fairly across the board.

But to answer your question, yeah boxing obviously needs better testing implement, but it has to be done rationally.

Shouldn't the fighters be the ones leading the line trying to clean up the sport, especially elite, big names?

The commissions are all obviously dog****, from judging to tests to punishments

some of that low 40 million offer is PPV, but that is another issue.

the question is if you had these accusations against you and you were clean would you take the test just to prove a point? the answer for most people is yes.

Finances in boxing are not in a format for every fight to have additional testing, if it was treated like a tax instead of something the fighters/promoters have to pay for out of their purse there would be alot higher of a percentage taking the test, but the fact is most either don't make enough to do it, that confident with their own ability that in their mind it don't matter if the other guy is cheating, or they are on steroids and don't fancy their chances of beating the test.

:happy Tasco I congratulate you for being honest!!!

Now as Manny Pacquiao is one of THE most popular boxers in the world at the moment. Don't you think he should be promoting OSDT??? I believe there is a saying "lead by example"!? Because as YOU say, "boxing needs better testing"!!

l'll answer it the same way again, I dont think its a fighters job to try to control drug testing. That potentially creates too many problems / loopholes, even if it's well intentioned. It also creates more excuses for fights not to happen (case in point: Pac - Floyd). There needs to be one governing body or whatever that runs those tests across the board fairly and unbiased

OK so you don't think Pacquiao should use his huge popularity and influence to help push boxing forward by leading by example and pushing for something that you yourself said boxing needs? :huh

lol @ people still saying pac is scared of needles. I've asked a hundred times on this board for people to cite Pac actually ever saying that and nothing has ever been posted.
