I have always wondered why is he rated so high? people have him as high as #2 at SMW, they say he is one of the most talented fightrs in the division, so can anyone tell me what fights he shows this in? Froch (114-113 Froch (6 rounds each, Dirrell deducted point, watched it three times) Abraham (Used a brilliant game plan, which the 'talentless shot' Froch was also able to carry out) I don't want to be advised either of these fights because I've saw them and nothing suggests #2 in SMW, I'd also prefer it to be not against a complete bum, at least a decent level journeyman.
That **** doesnt even make sense. Stick to what you do best. Jumping from thread to thread. To asslick Floyd :smh
Dirrel is a fraud and an absolute ****ing disgrace, the only people lower then him are the steroid abusers and brick hands.
Dirrel in terms of skills to me is the #2 in the division He has the handspeed, slickness, reach, footspeed, intelligence, very capable from orthodox or southpaw stance He schooled Froch handily, hometown decision at it's finest If Bute can be called the #2 smw while fighting cans on skills alone then Dirrell certainly can He is a complete mental midget sadly though, so prob won't amount to much
Define schooled because I don't see fighting like a ***** to a 6-6 as schooled, what I've saw his handspeed is decent, I don't understand what slickness is, his footspeed is good, he uses to run away, I don't see his intelligence as good as it's made out and being able to use two stances is all well and good if helps you win against world class opponents. please I actually want to be proven wrong, there is no way I can be right and so many people are wrong, so please tell me what fights he demonstrates these 'skills' and not against a complete bum. P.S Froch or Kessler (if you still count him at 168) is #2 as ranking is based on accomplishments, not unproven talent, well at least in my mind anyway.
He outsmarted him and outmanouvered him, Froch was made to look very clumsy and awkward throughout long periods of the fight, most of the time having to take multiple crisp shots to inflict a few of his own He was constantly being timed and countered on the way in This content is protected This content is protected Very clever boxing and ring IQ from Dirrell, I don't really beleive there is a thing such as running in boxing, Dirrel is an outside fighter/counter puncher, and that is what he did, stayed on the outside, hitting froch with good clean shots, while Froch tried to make it his type of fight, which for the majority of it, he wasn't allowed to do, Dirrel certainly outboxed him BUT if you don't beleive it from this point then you are right there is not much point in the debate because if you don't think he showcased enough in this and the abraham fights then it's unlikely you will ever Ring IQ Counterpunching Clean punching handspeed footspeed I'd all say they are methods in which you beat world class opponents and he showcased them all against Froch/AA and if this fight wasn't in Nottingham I doubt Froch gets the nod Froch is #2 based on the fact he got to the SS final, but he was still clearly beaten by Dirrell for me I've made a thread about it before I will try to bump it's a shame I think Dirrell is very talented but doesn't seem to have a great head on his shoulders
well how can you be rated high, when you have only fought once in over 2 years, and your best win is over abraham.
But his best win is Froch in which he was clearly jobbed... And as I said above, based on Activity/resume, Froch is rated higher But then Dirrel made him look foolish so... As I said in my first post, on skills alone, it's Ward, then Dirrell And Dirrell would be a tough fight for Ward
Froch normally looks quite clumsy, I don't give Dirrell credit for that. I believe running exists, I don't caller many fighters a runner, but Dirrell is imo. He was very good in facing Abraham, the only problem I have with it is most people who have Dirrell #2 have Froch as low as #6 (not saying you do) and describe him as talentless, Froch was able to implement that gameplan. It was the kind of fight where the hometown fighter would win, unpredictable anywhere else. I just want to know which fights of his are worth watching and give you this opinion, I'm not just going to take someone elses word for it.
Dirrel has never beat anyone as good as Manfredo, so you're basing his skills alone as a reason to rate is squashed. BUT......if we're basing his skills alone as a reason to rate........... his lack of faith in his punch resistance aside, he's by faaaaarrrr the #1 skillswise in the division. No one is a close second. Ward is a faaaar second, followed by Bute, then maybe Ooshusiezen. Skills alone that is.
but then again you are an idiot so it doesn't count. Andre Dirrell is a bum,he should stick to his main profession, driving cabs rather than box again
