It's good to see another star emerge in the HW division and he's done it very quickly with his last 2 impressive wins. Question is what's next with this whole SF debacle.

What SF debacle ? all the HW are going to the UFC....if my memory is correct I think Cormier is going to fight 1 last time in SF and then UFC time....but I could be wrong on that one !

I see no reason why Zuffa can't send someone half decent over there. They know he's coming over after his last fight, so might as well give him a fair test without a. being a can b. being potentially hazardous for a potential new star.

If not, maybe they'll shut Tim Sylvia up once and for all and feed him to Cormier. Or maybe they'll draft one of their guys in for one night only (unlikely IMO, UFC won't want to give anything to Showtime even if it would build a new contender up)

Maybe Cormier and Mark Hunt both recover from hand surgery around the same time? ;-)

The guy is a natural. Has natural fighter instinct and is a true competitor at a high level. With that little number of fights under his belt and the way he handles himself, pretty impressive, considering he isn't the biggest or strongest of the bunch.

Personally i think it speaks volumes that a former Olympian who has been to the pinnacle of his discipline is able to make a transition to MMA such has Cormier. In the past fighters with professional disciplines under their belt were common place in MMA. I think this has helped him tremendously with his rapid progress which has been against some of the best heavies in MMA. Dude needs to be in the UFC right now. Stylistically he gives JDS many problems. And it could certainly make for a great fan friendly scrap.

Cormier's striking is very impressive IMO. It's improved leaps and bounds even from the Monzon fight, where I didn't think Cormier did much better than Fedor did, taking everything into account.

Smashes Big Foot and nearly takes Barnett's head off with a right high kick last night.

Cormier is a freak. The Bones Jones train to HW glory and G.O.A.T status is officially getting derailed once Cormier gets in the UFC, this guy is the truth.

    Black Fedor indeed.

Agreed. Not sure being at SF will do much good for him now. I am sure he would shake things up in the UFC hw division.

when I first saw him I said to myself "who the hell is this little fat kid"... then when he beat silva I said to myself "meehh silva is half ******ed, all he's got is size"... after beating the war master, I'm believing the hype. I mean, he doesn't look like your average hw, but he is strong, agile, has the punches, kicks, wrestling... and is a tough sob...

    looking foward to more fights

That's a 250lb man right there. He'd tear Jon Jones apart.
