I know what you are saying and you are saying it well. What YOU aren't seeing is IB's point that it is so ingrained that you don't see it. If the professor goes out of his way to not condescend he will come across as haughty. This is really a function of us all wanting to feel unique in some way. No escaping it. It just depends on the level.
I didn't hear that he bitched about 175. If so, then yes, that's bull****, because he blamed the Ward loss on having to fight at 168. But the issue of 'undeserved fights' is about promoters. Kessler's promoter is every bit as much to blame for this fight happening as Green's. Green gets good fights because DiBella goes to bat for him. But it takes the other side to OK the fight. Blame Kessler's people, not Green's for this fight happening.
Perhaps - but what is this professor to do then? If he wilfully condescends he is definitely arrogant, but if he tries not to, he is implicitely haughty as well? Anyway, I still believe Danes are more cold than arrogant - not really a huge fan of my own people after having lived abroad ;-)

allen green is a monumental disappointment. I knew he would lose and lose badly. honestly, he's performed worse at the elite level than any fighter I have seen in recent years. he doesn't belong in the ring with elite fighters. oklahoma isnt doing him any favors either. i'm positive there are a complete lack of sparring partners in the area where allen green prepares for fights. he beats up on hopeless oklahomans, which builds him, mentally at least, into a world beater, and then he steps into the ring with a top fighter and wilts magnificently. go back to friday night fights allen.
He came late for Sebastien Demers fight and ended up fighting after the main event. When a bum like Green says about himself that he's the best It feels like an insult to my intelligence. How can you say that after being totally outclassed by Andre Ward.
Hope he was fined his entire purse for that stunt. Obviously he thought he should be the main event so he pulled that stunt would be my guess. This sounds like it was a Greg Leon stunt. I know he was 'advising' Green for a while and 'advised' him out of $500K against Pavlik.
