Williams is 39 years old and has fought only 3 rounds in 2 1/2 years. He's lost or drew with every good fighter he's faced. Ring rust and age won't help either, plus he doesn't have much power.

Another fight against an old guy that proves nothing for Welliver. As usual, a UD win.

  2. Who is Welliver supposed to fight???

I saw the thread title and thought,

"Williams? WTF? What ****ing Williams is there at heavyweight? Has P-Dubs just said **** it, I'm tall enough to be a HW, and decided to skip past ever debuting at SMW/LHW/CW and just ride the elevator all the way up for a payday? Against Welliver, how big a payday is that? There just isn't a HW in the top 50 with the last name Williams, so who the **** could this possibly...let me click on the threa-

...OH! SHERMAN ****ing Williams??!?! :rofl Welliver is actually stepping down in competition. :patsch"

Now, let us be clear: Williams did come damn close to handing Holyfield his third stoppage loss. That isn't because he's any good, though. It's a sign of just how **** Holyfield is now.

Holyfield himself would be a big step down from Welliver's competition of late, sad as that is.

I've listed several other fighters he should/could be targeting that might be practical and acceptable on another Welliver thread recently.

Holy ****, Danny has a fight lined up. :patsch

    How?? Why??

Granted, the stoppage against Charr last June was bull**** - but he got legitimately KTFO later in the year...by a green unknown prospect.

    [yt]11vHiTTuzCM[/yt]

He didn't even look like a pro boxer anymore, just a helpless old man getting mugged and the **** beaten out of him.

  9. Or Sonny Bill Williams...!!!

How many times now has Danny said he is done and admitted he shouldn't be in the ring anymore??? The Latvian commission should be ashamed to continue licensing him.

The guy he is fighting....is a rematch from 2005. Danny TKO'd him in 3 with 5 KD's. This time around, toss up maybe. Either guy could win.

Very sad to see Danny continuing on with these kinds of fights. That said, I'm surprised Welliver hasn't called him out

Wha:? It was down to Marion "Jackhammer" Wilson, Everett "Bigfoot" Martin and even a rematch with "Smokin" Bert Cooper was mentioned

They ultimately went with Sherman "Tank" Williams I spose

I defended him, when Cooper was announced and he said, it was only a stay-busy-fight in order to fight Mitchell as an almost done deal later. Now that?
    **** it.
