    yes like judah

in the sense that he can get fights, work his way to the top. . then fail before everyone's eyes

there simply is nothing special about kessler . . hes a decent fighter at best and thats how his legacy will be remembered

Let the guy enjoy his moment though. As soon as Green hit the canvas everyone jumped all over the Kessler.

Yeah, Green is not faded. He looked better and more ready than in any of the Super six fights. But he is just not able to compete at elite level and never has been.

Good win. He was the favorite and won in impressive manner.

Khan was the favorite against Prescott, Peterson etc. and lost. Wlad against Brewer etc. and lost and so on and on. Kessler does not loose to mediocre fighters like those guys.

The only thing this proved is that Kessler chin could have problems at 175 pounds.

I have been thinking about that.. But it was a pretty good shot from Green and the KD was controversial.. I will give Kessler the benefit of doubt so far...

It wasn't unexpected that he stopped Green, it was how he did it that was impressive. Comparing him to Judah is unfair - Kessler doesn't unravel like Judah, though he has twice been beaten by better fighters, his performances in those fights were ok - no folding involved. His best wins are better than anything on Judah's record.

I kinda understand what you are trying to say but...
It is still different with Judah and Kessler come on man..

Judah had much more talent than Kessler he was just do damn weat at mentally. Judash showed flashed of brilliance but could not just keep it together.

Kessler is extremely tough guy on mentally. he is a fighter but he just dont have the talent.. Kessler will always fight his heart out and can dig deep when going gets tought at fight and he does not mentally collapse and stop fighting like Judah.

I would say Kessler has fulfilll his potential and made it pretty far and that is all what matters. Kessler is fighter you can be proud of and to known Mikkel has always gave his best in his fights.:deal:good

Kessler is much more like cotto.

For years they were ranked almost identically on P4P lists. They are both very talented and brilliant amateurs (for example Kessler hardly lost as an amateur and was European champion.. never went to the world championships because he turned pro when he was 18 or something like that).

As pros they beat most people and lose only to top 5 P4P people.

I believe Kessler blew a couple of fights early in his ammy career, he beated up the former Sovjet countries in the european championship.. He then later lost to a senior while being like 16 or 17.. Kessler turned pro @age 19..

Green was not faded or washed up - he sucked from the word go, man. Kessler is on the decline, though. Not sure he would do well against top level opposition.
