How do you think this fight will go if it were to happen.

    My opinion.

He should had gotten the decision vs cotto.
And against pacquiao I personally think that he took a dive.

but that being said I think clottey would get the decision if he was to fight canelo.

    Opinions?

Canelo. Clotted just doesn't seem to the offense to win big fights. Has Clottey fought since PAC? That's a long time out of the ring if he hasn't.

He fought a tune up fight.

the guy calvin green was a journeyman but Clottey looked pretty good.

that hook he dropped him with was so fast we had to wait for the replay.

Clottey is an excellent gate keeper kind of guy. A good measuring stick to up and coming fighters. Canelo should fight him and that will tell us where he is at. I am a big Alvarez fan but I was willing to bet my whole bank account on him versus Mosley but didn't get any takers, I don't put too much stock in that win even though I found it a very entertaining bout.

Edit: it's kind of humorous that even myself, an Alvarez fan, is saying that a champion should fight a gatekeeper haha.

Clottey is underrated. Had he not broken his had he would have beaten Margarito, who he was comfortably on top of until he could no longer used his much favoured left hand.

With wins against Margarito and Cotto, which he was a razors edge from, Clottey would be a real name in boxing instead of a nearly man.

Stylistically though I feel Canelo isnt the best fit for him. Clottey likes low output fighter who he can pick apart and counter. I think facing a much shoter man will be more difficult for him to counter, especially with his trademark left to the body and Alvarez' awkward athleticism will make it a tough night for him.

Clottey's lack of offense is a mis conception since the Pacquaio fight.

Canelo fights at a slow pace. Perfect for Clottey to give him hell.
