"Nick Khan, Toney's lawyer, said two of Toney's treating physicians and another doctor from the Maryland boxing commission issued affidavits in support of that theory to the NYSAC after the fight. But Khan did not know whether Toney's doctors submitted their treatment records, including the drugs Toney had been administered, to the New York commission before he stepped into the ring."

NYSAC did receive affidavits from Toney's docs after the fight.

Staples Center isn't cheap to reserve for a Saturday night and GBP just lost one HBO date. I wouldn't be surprised to see something magically happen here.

Damn....I've been looking for that article that referenced Toney's doc and can't fight that ***** anywhere. But I'm sure an affidavit is something that a lawyer CAN'T lie about through a major media outlet unless he doesn't care about his reputation...which in the legal world, your rep is everything.

Sorry bro....couldn't find the article I was talking about but I'm sure James, his promoter and attorney provided the documentation via an affidavit to the NYSAC. The responsibility is on the shoulders of the fighter...I think Berto will be held under the same rules Toney was.

I am telling you they never did, how could they? Toneys Dr would not lie for him. Thats why he lost the title thats why it was over turned, when Toney won they (WBA) were okay with it, They were tired of Ruiz, and wanted to see Toney fight one of the klitschkos if not both.

Toney won the fight tested positive lied as to why he was not clean thats what happened all this his Dr gave it to him, there is no truth to that like I said had he provided that the WBA would have had no problem neither would have the commission they requested confirmation and never got it there is a reason for that.

If it really is a trace amount then it at least correlates with his story and he has a good case to be excused.

But if it was a trace amount, why was it flagged up as positive in the first place? It doesn't make sense to me.

It was probably flagged for the fact that it was simply detected, but unverified in amounts

either way if Berto gets a clean pass, in the end he still lost out of it all with the fight, the negative attention, etc

    :good

thats why all these extra tests are a bunch of bull**** anyway and shouldnt take them. let the ones in place stay where they are unless this becomes mandatory....right now its a broken test regardless of berto, other false positives have happened.....one in baseball recently where they suspended him 50 games...or tried to until it was over turned

Thanks for getting another fight postponed/cancelled Berto. Seriously why are you taking supplements without Conte's knowledge. You are such a dissappointment. Thats all

I've never heard of a lab working like that. A positive needs to have quantifiable parameters for what constitutes a positive. Otherwise a "positive" result is meaningless.

the substance is banned so the fight is off

It doesnt matter if it was an intentional cheat or not

smoking marajuana is not gaining any advantage yet the substance is still banned and you wont fight
